The go to recipe for doggie treats I had carefully written on bright blue paper has gone missing. I remember it had peanut butter but no powdered milk and the finished product didn't need to be refrigerated. I still have the bone shaped cookie cutter and used seasonal cutters too.

Dex’s Sweet Potato Treats (2021)

Dex’s Treats

1 sweet potato, baked or microwaved, approx. 1 cup

2 1/2 c. Whole wheat flour

1/4 c. Unsweetened applesauce

2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mash sweet potato. Mix all ingredients. Turn dough onto a well floured surface, and roll to 1/2” thickness. Use cookie cutters or a pizza cutter to cut into appropriate sized pieces. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake until crisp, 35-45 minutes. I do 40 minutes for the very small size. Cool on sheets for 10 minutes. Remove to cool completely on wire rack. These freeze very well.

Per serving: 43 calories, 1.8 g protein, 8.5 g carbohydrates, 0.5 g fat, 11.6 mg cholesterol, 8.8 mg sodium (It doesn’t say what size a serving is, so I’m guessing a small dog biscuit.)

Yes, here's a simple and easy recipe for peanut butter dog treats:

Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup chicken broth or water
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour and peanut butter until well combined.
3. Gradually add the chicken broth or water and continue to mix until a dough forms.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
5. Cut the dough into shapes with your cookie cutters.
6. Place the shapes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
7. Allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack.
These treats will keep for up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months. Enjoy!

If you have parasites in the pond then you need to treat the pond. If any of the fish have ulcers, fin rot, or other infections, then you need to remove them and treat with antibiotics. But the pond itself needs to be treated for parasites. I like Proform C myself. But it really helps to know which parasite you are dealing with. Any chance you own a microscope and know how to use it? Or by chence you you belong to a koi club that has member who could help out? If you have no way to determine which parasite you have then you need to treat for ALL parasites. Malachite Green and Formalin will treat many, but not all. I would also use PraziPond to treat for flukes. If those two treatments don't work then we need to step it up a notch.

Raymond, you will likely get more answers if you ask your question on a new post. That said, 1st photo looks like leaf miner damage & on 2nd, I spy a Giant Swallowtail caterpillar - which is most likely NOT responsible for the leaf damage (in my experience they eat very little & the butterflies are gorgeous). The bleached, dried out areas on the leaves in photo 2 look similar to herbicide damage, or some other chemical maybe...?

Lizbeth: For my Green Chile Pinwheels, I use one drained, 4-ounce can of chopped green chiles (Hatch or Bueno are my preferred brands for quality). Here's my recipe for my Biscochitos. Biscochitos Ingredients ¨ 3 cups butter (originally called for lard) ¨ 1 1/2 cups sugar ¨ 2 large eggs, beaten ¨ 1 teaspoon anise extract ¨ 3 teaspoons vanilla extract ¨ 7-8 teaspoons anise seeds ¨ 1 teaspoon salt ¨ 1/’4 cup brandy ¨ 5 cups all-purpose flour ¨ 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ¨ 1/4 cup sugar + 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping Directions: 1) Cream sugar and butter. Add in beaten eggs. 2) Next add in the anise and vanilla extracts, anise seeds, salt and brandy. Mix well. 3) Mix in the flour and baking powder. Roll out your cookie dough, thick or thin depending on your preference. 4) Cut into star or flower shapes with cookie cutters, and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Move to cookie sheets. 5) Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 12-15 minutes, BUT WATCH THEM! Bake only until golden. Browned cookies will taste terrible! ** This baking time is for our high altitude here at 6,000 ft. You may need to adjust it for lower altitudes!

It has made a very noticeable difference in Molly's comfort and mobility. https://karmafarma1000.com/hemp-oil-k9-soft-chews Lyme is really not a huge deal in dogs. Both of mine have had it, neither was symptomatic, Bailey we treated w/ antibiotics and Molly my vet said she had antibodies but no active infection so it's likely her body took care of it. We have so many ticks here, it pretty much doesn't matter what we do to prevent, there's almost no way to avoid lyme exposure when the dogs go outside/hike. General practice vets actually get almost no education about nutrition/dog food options in veterinary school. And a lot of info out there is provided by dog food companies. A standard vet's advice on nutrition should be taken with a grain of salt, IMO (although it may be a controversial one). Unless you get lucky to get a vet that is specifically trained in nutrition or has it as an area of interest and has done independent research, you are not likely to get the best advice on food and should do your own research about what you feed your dogs. One of our vets was pretty opposed to the raw diet we were feeding when we first went to him. After doing a full blood panel, and seeing how incredibly healthy our dogs have been up to an old age, minds were changed. Our regular vet who we see often is fully in support of our feeding plan and has credited nutrition (plus the extremely specialized heart-surgery of course) with Molly's longevity and good health.
