Your property is so beautiful i can see why you live it. Your home looks like 80s contemporary style. Your brick is fine. The roof change is key. I don’t agree with metal roof for this style home. That look is more country, or traditional/farmhouse look. Not right for your home imo. I would recommend Weathered Wood HD by GAF Timberline shingle. Then once it is on, a nice coordinating color for trim and gutters etc will evolve. Your front door is hidden so select color for that last. A deep gold might look good. A dark color won’t do much for your front facade. So start with roof.

The window trim change would be to Craftsman style. Unless you are doing the work yourself it seems a lot of expense for little difference on upstairs windows. It would, however, be extremely easy to do on your front door as you would only need to change the top board. And you could replace the side lights with solid wood inserts, or you could use textured glass that would obscure the view while still letting light in. While the limestone exterior is very light it has a yellow hue. Simply speaking the easiest way to find colors that work with the warm limestone is to choose a nearby color. That was probably why the trim is green. Since you prefer a modern look, I suggest you keep your siding light and use color only in the trim. Below are two combinations that I like. I wanted to thank everyone for their generous time for input. We decided to go with the Moire black - one shade darker than the Pewterwood. It was close, but in the end I plan on keeping the house white and I think I can get away with a dark roof - I have moments of cold feet since the Moire roof in photos has looked really dark, but I do love the bold look of the white houses with dark roofs (Studio McGee did one I just keep gazing at) so I thought why not. - Thanks, I know more next week when one section of the roof is complete.

We have to make a final decision on our roof color ASAP! We are considering Landmark Solaris- Heather Blend and Weathered Wood. I like the pics I see of the weatherer wood that look brown, but half of the pics look grey! We really liked the Heather Blend, but our roofer warned us that its really really light, which is not a direction we wanted to go. But the pictures I see online make it look medium to dark! Ive attached a pic of the house, but know we are painting. We are going grey-green for the trim and paneling (something close to behr’s ecological- third attached pic). Siding/stucco staying white. Door will be replaced too- with wood: knotty alder (medium “autumn”). Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences with either roof color?
