OH MY, 3 years later!!! I don't think that I can handle it that long. I don't have a family doctor let alone an OB/GYN and I live in an isolated community and have to go to the emergency room for treatment. They did blood work and did an exam and were suppose to schedule an ultra sound but haven't heard back yet. There was too much bleeding for a PAP at that time also. I may have to go back again if this doesn't stop soon. I'm on day 8 after a 4 day break. I feel like I'm under house arrest. Can't go anywhere for more than an hour, and don't dare sneeze or cough without being seated on the toilet. Would a hysterectomy put an end to this? I can put up with all the other side effects, I just can't stand being "stuck or held down".

Thanks to all! Really great suggestions! agree with many of the posters and my sofas are always solids. In my primary residence, I have a tone on tone damask and a woven solid and a solid green (in different rooms, of course). I always accent with chairs and pillows and accessories, BUT, because my primary residence is 18th century, mahogany, with a few whimsical touches, I really wanted the second home to be totally different than the primary residence. Maybe my title was misleading. The only fabric reflecting a coastal theme would be a pair of club chairs. The solid sofa is great, but I thought doing a pair of two themed chairs, translation: FUN, chairs, and the chairs would be the only themed pieces of furniture, would make me smile when I enter the home and put me in a vacation mode frame of mind!! Having said that, I am now rethinking the fabric only because I like, not love that fabric. I kept gravitating to it because it works beautifully with the green sofa. The greens in the crab fabric are perfect with the green sofa....so, now I am off hunting for fabric again. I really like greens and blues together. My PR colors are red, goldish- yellow and green. I have no blue in this home, so now leaning toward a blue and green color scheme and, perhaps, a geometric or a paisley. I do not want over the top beachy, but I do want to feel I am away from my home with subtle coastal touches. If this were my primary residence, I would not even be questioning the theme, but because this is a getaway home, I do want it to reflect the area and the laid-back mode. Planning to use paint colors and fabrics I would not think of using in my PR. I will let you know what I find and i am keeping all of your great thoughts and suggestions in mind!! I think the crab walk fabric is walking!!!

I really took your responses to heart. I met with the architect today. I shared with him what you all said. We decided that I will stay with ikea for now. The countertop deal is too good to pass up. We decided on the grey abstrakt cabinets with white silestone. The floors are mottled light grey/white concrete. What do you all think of the colors? Alternatively, I can do white/white or white cabs/grey counters. This will let me put money towards doing the things that are going to require my imminent attn., namely new double paned glass. The good news is that my father/stepmo. came into town last night. They have high expectations for homes/etc. They saw the house today. I was so nervous about what they might think. They loved it and totally saw my vision for it. Dianalo: Thank you for your feedback. You are right in that I need to be prudent in my choices for this house. Thank you for grounding me! I have been shopping cl a lot-so far, I got a viking double oven and a ge monogram fridge. I dont cook so cant justify spending a lot on appliances I wont use much. abundantblessings: Thank you! I guess I will stay with ikea now. As I dont cook, I think the ikea will hold up for years. I agree that custom is a better route than hb, but I do believe I will wait for the right time. oldhouse1: Your house sounds lovely. Hi rusty ... and everyone. Sorry that you're feeling so dragged out by that darn housework ... that never seems to end. And folks - what with the new look to take place around old rusty's home soon ... ... what say we take up a collection to get a new stainless steel bucket for her, to replace the deteriorated one that she's been harbouring for so long, huh? I got busy and dusted and swept out my bedroom the other day, herding the dust bunnies right into the composting pail, to take out to fertilize the garden. Don't tell me that in taking on that task I may be putting myself at risk of getting shingles! Oh, Lordy! That'll make it even more difficult summoning up the energy to get after the dust bunnies in the other rooms! Life do have its problems, don't it??
