Brushed nickel would look nice. Please find it in the budget to replace the mirror. You can find a framed one at Homegoods or Target for less than $40. A simple picture frame style mirror would complement the molding style of your toilet tank lid and sink. That would make a huge difference in terms of an updated look. Nice, clean, uncluttered bathroom. Good job!

I was looking all over for a mirror that would fit that space and couldn't find anything I liked without a huge frame, so I gave up. Current mirror is 24” wide x 30” long and as you can see, it just fits. I would love links to some inexpensive options!

I don't see anything wrong with the chrome TBH. People still use it - it is the most trend-proof finish. Your current faucet doesn't look terrible. Is it still functioning? I think the mirror and the light fixture are the two things that really need updating. Brushed nickel is not a bad choice, either. Instead of painting the room beige, why not more of a color? A lot of people get crazy in a powder room. I painted mine medium blue last year and hung four pieces of art to perk it up. Wallpaper is very popular in powder rooms. You can always just wallpaper the one wall. You might be tired of the green but think about some other colors before going beige.

We've had a few issues with the faucet so we decided we would swap it out while hanging new hardware. I'm leaning towards brushed nickel for the faucet and hardware. The light I'm not sure if I want brushed nickel as well or matte black.

I tend to get sick of colored paint so in this house we've used neutral colors (light beige or light grey) and then I can change out towels and decor.

The fixtures you picked out seem to be the exact same as what you have now, just a different finish. I like the orb finish to tie in with your shelf…….just be sure you like the style being the same as what you have now.

My vote, knowing you were plannimg to replace the hardware anyway, is go with the black, but maybe consider a wood shelf unit vs. black to add warmth to the room.

My original intention was to swap out the plain mirror and current dark brown shelf for something made of real wood and matching like these (these photos are from reviews left on etsy). I ditched the idea in an effort to save money but this is the look I'm going for.

Now that I'm looking at mirrors again, what size would look good in that space? The current mirror is 24x30 but is a bit too tall with the light (still planning on replacing with one of the lights pictured above but not sure on color yet).

I like this but it's a lot more money than I would like to spend.

Brushed nickel towel bars/rings, faucet and hardware will go with anything now and in the future.

I agree with comments about something other than beige walls. You could even go dark walls in this room and the chrome fixtures would really pop, and a metallic framed mirror would add some brightness and sparkle.
See examples in house. Make sure you remove mirror if possible befor painting so when that new mirror come in you don’t have to worry about a paint ridge line to deal with.

This is what I ended up doing. Even though they are small changes and somewhat similar style, a fresh coat of paint and new hardware and especially the new mirror make it look a lot nicer. The only thing left to do is print some of my beach photography and hang it on the wall where the towel bar used to be.
