Hosta k 2022..............
Comments (16)Paula, the Jetson joke is really unbelievable! Saija, I am happy to see you are with us…..why not post hostas that you have even if they’re not from 2022? Gary and Beth, your Kaledichrome hostas are amazing! Love the striped leaves! NW, you have a lovely view from your window! I think you are the one who inspired me to buy Krossa. Beth, Saija and Sunnywood, all of you have perfect Komodo Dragons ……It looks bigger than Krossa….is it? Saija, I have been having houzz problems too. For some reason I can’t access my library photos through the app. I have been going to my old bookmarked link through the hosta forum. debra...See MoreHosta Best of 2022 ..........................
Comments (20)I've already posted multiple pics of two of my favorites - The King and Wave Runner. This sport from Sagae outgrows Liberty in less sun for me and always gets comments from visitors. In 2017 I bought a Sagae with the widest margin I could find at the nursery (it was still relatively narrow) and it quickly responded to being planted in the ground by getting ridiculously wider. You can still see a little bit of the Sagae being taken over by August of that year....See MoreHosta Yellow 2022 ............................
Comments (27)Pieter that one i sent to mark zillis lab 3 years ago, so solberg is selling it now its 'light the match' high priced the first year. i don't get any royalties on those. it has the substance of subcrocea so it will bleach. it works best in a pot which would be good for you. the os in the ground hasn't liked the 2 years of drought we've had so it has shrunk to half size. i relocated it. so i'm hoping it bounces back this year....See MoreHosta Leaves 2022 ........................
Comments (23)Deb those are a big daddy sport and a mcwilliams streaker. ive got 3 cups full of streakers of that mcwilliams this year. maybe 100 or so. here is wildest dreams after it bleaches. the jetting shows more. One that gets better and better later in the seaon. another pic showing the anatomy of a leaf. the primary veins and sub veins and the back epidermis are the scaffolding supporting the middle and out layers. side by side chimera cells in the meristem with some overlap. streakers are randomly organized cells in the meristem and stable plants have united their chimeras. wildest dreams has some of the most extensive overlap in the transition that i have seen in a white margined stable hosta. the effect is really pretty...See MoreSaija_Finland
