Thank you all for your comments. The bathroom is a lot of whitish (large hex tile floor/large format tile shower alcove, and a white (long double sink) quartz vanity counter/also top of pony wall). The vanity is oak. All the fixtures/vanity lights are brass (aged). There is a window at the far end. I thought just off white walls might be too much white, although I guess I could change that with wall "add ons". We live in a country setting, the house is a shrine to mother nature : ), so that is where the green comes from.

What does the rest of your bathroom look like? I’d do some nice wallpaper, and the rest just like you said. I’m no designer though. Depending on how far down the renovation road you want to go, perhaps consider replacing the floor tile to something more era appropriate? I think alot of bathrooms from this era had chrome (or something like it) hardware...but if you have original hardware that is brass, continue with that. I would think that the latches on the top cupboards will be an indication once you’ve got the paint off, whether the knobs etc should be brass or chrome(?) I’m not even sure whether you have to put the baking soda in...I’ve done it with and without and it’s worked both ways.

I agree that the fun pattern on the shower curtain fights with the granite a bit. If you want to stay with flowers, I'd do a new curtain more like below - pick the light sagey-green for the walls and one of the other colors (rose? tangerine?) for towels/rugs.

The tan is reading pinkish on my monitor. I'm no pro but I'd look at white or pale gray.
