I had the exact same problem. I picked out the vanity I wanted but did not think about the fact that it wasn't made to sit flush against the wall. I spent a month looking for something else, but in the end we decided to go with something shorter and have it not be against the wall. But we were going from 72" to 60" which is probably not workable in your mom's situation. I did find a lot of vanities that did have flat sides and could work in a corner, if you are willing to have the countertop fabricated. They just need to not have any trim detail on the top or bottom like the one you picked out does. I would just look at the ones without the pre-made tops. Because the pre-made top will still leave you with a slight gap because of the countertop overhang. This is an example: Avanity Modero which is sold everywhere, not just at Lowe's. The cabinet we ended up buying is an Avanity Madison which won't work for you, but I assume it is of similar quality. We are pretty happy with it. The drawers and doors have soft close but I do feel like the glides in my Ikea kitchen drawers are better quality. It is very pretty and I wanted a stained wood so I am really happy with our choice. If I had been willing to go with a painted finish, I think we might have stuck with the 72" Modero.

You put a shower in this tub without better wall covering? I once used a plastic coated wall board and it clearly said it would not hold up to being in a shower. Your Corain is great in a shower, but not with all those seams. You also have a ledge that is just waiting to have water pool there so it can leak into the (almost guaranteed) walls that have no waterproofing. If you are going to be a landlord, you need to make things idiot-proof. Not saying that all renters are idiots, but the majority of renters are going to be looking out for your interests and call you as soon as they suspect mold build up on that ledge part that is not Corian. Corian will stand up to anything, but for you to switch this to a shower, you needed any ledges to be slanted downward to drain. Be happy about the Corian portions. Paint everything to match that. But don’t expect a tub surround that is level to work like a shower that is made to drain away shower water. Mold and mildew shall ensue.

I have to agree with above. Its a nice looking bathroom. It just needs some color added, and laminate flooring will never hold up in a bathroom. Laminate hates moisture, and if it gets wet you will have a mess. The tiles are neutral, and in really good condition. Add color in accessories, and dont put any paint on those tiles. It will just end up being a nightmare for someone else to remove. If you need something else on the floor, use some area rugs.

there is no ideal threshhold. I used a marble threshhold to finish a white tiled bathroom and a wood hall floor. the shower curb is just that, a curb that separates the inside from the outside. I tile up to the exterior with the floor tile and to the inside with the shower tile. Do what makes the cleanest finish. bullnose tiles that compliment the chosen tiles will have a cleaner finish (sharp/cut edges will scratch bare feet). Lay out and cut the tiles completely before you start so you know what you are working with.
