Need help finding chandelier for foyer
Comments (1)I love my Minka Lavery pendant light 1357-177. It is enormous! I think it is 36" wide x 48" tall. It would look lovely in a foyer. The medallion at ceiling did not come with it....See MoreNeed help Livening up our Foyer. New Chandelier?
Comments (14)Too many lines going on at the same place, indeed. Best remove the chandelier alltogether, for it competes with the beautiful railing of the stairs. If you do need an extra light source, than follow Maureens idea of a table lamp. If you do not need the light, just leave the vase with the flowers in the middle of the table and place nothing else on it. Also remove the two dark framed pictures and leave that wall bare. All the attention will go to the flowers and the beautiful stairs, where it belongs. It might look empty at first, for you are used to something there, but give it a week and my guess is, you don't want to go back. We cannot see the picture on the other wall, but what I can see - the white frame - is not good. Maybe the other two pictures can go there? On the left of the stairs it seems like you have 'decorated' underneath the wrought iron pieces. Remove all such 'decoration' for it functions as nothing but clutter. There's just one thing I'm not sure of: the lighting on the floor seems too bare to me (obviously that's possible). I wonder what it would look like if you would hang several curvy wrought iron lanterns there instead. I'm not sure of this though. Something like this: It is far enough from the staircase as to not compete, but hopefully complete. What do you think?...See MoreHelp me find chandelier for foyer
Comments (15)Thanks for the budget. With no constraints, I seem to gravitate toward $2500+ multi-pendant fixtures for foyers. Not a comfortable budget for most people (including me). Let me know if these are too modern for you. Some of them are contemporary takes on more traditional forms. https://www.lampsplus.com/products/mitzi-brigitte-32-inch-wide-aged-brass-10-light-chandelier__47j57.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/juniper-32-inch-wide-juniper-bronze-8-light-chandelier__44y14.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/dione-6-light-25-inch-wide-polished-nickel-chandelier__2h538.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/regina-brushed-nickel-28-inch-wide-crystal-ceiling-light__4f038.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/feiss-paulson-16-and-one-half-inchw-glass-rod-chrome-foyer-chandelier__18w67.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/hinkley-monaco-26-and-three-quarter-inch-wide-brushed-caramel-chandelier__4y178.html https://www.lampsplus.com/products/hinkley-hampton-collection-16-inch-wide-pendant-light__k8530.html...See Morehelp with foyer chandelier
Comments (9)I love that you are painting the walls white and your chandelier works, but I agree that having more furniture in the house could help determine if you want to change direction a bit on the chandelier. there are so many different styles that could work, depending on the direction you want to take the overall look and feel of the house... heres a few different styles and directions. I might also suggest, depending on the height of your foyer that you could feasibly go a bit bigger on the chandelier, maybe a bit wider and possibly longer...See MoreJulie Shanker
