I like that idea...mine is away from the cooking area so oils and such wouldn't work...I'm having a hard time finding out the perfect use for it...a lot of pantry items won't fit, some things tip over and it's hard to adjust the shelves...but it was the only option to finish the run of cabinets.

I have the Rev-a-shelf bottom mount rev-a-motion double waste container in a 21 inch cabinet. The 2 cans are front and back rather than side by side. I got it on Rev-a-shelf's clearance section in bamboo, and saved a couple of hundred dollars. It came with the waste bins, but I exchanged them for smaller, lidded bins from Ikea, since they were too tall to also use the drawer in the cab, and I wanted to have lids on my trash and recycling. Very easy to attach to the door, and it has a super pulling mechanism on it ('patent pending gas spring action') that pulls the waste baskets back into the cabinet with just a slight push. Do you pull your kids out of school

Take your son out! A few years ago, my mother passed away and I actually pulled my children out of school (5th grade and 10th) for a few days to visit with their grandmom who was very close to "the end" but had rallied for "a few good days". I am so very happy that they were able to have some time, make a last "good" memory and actually say goodbye. I know your child is much younger, so the memories will need to be reinforced with pictures, stories from you and others at the reunion and perhaps a video -- but look at this long term, he will have something to think back on when in school they bring up the subject of your family tree. (This is common in grade school, from learning vocabulary words to identifying relationships; middle school when we teach about communities and high school when we teach immigration in Social Studies and foreign languages. I know both my children had "family" used as a teaching tool, and I have used the topic in Psychology, Sociology and History classes). Do you have Hafele blind corner pull outs?

List for Magic Corner 2 mechanism is 1530 to 1530, stores 1080 sq ins- don't put a drawer above it, not the best thing for feild install. A better choice is the Hafele Lemans units- list $870- stores either 884" or 1057 (the one that takes the same wall space as the MC 2- do NOT get the smallest one unless you have no choice) Easier to use with aging back, more flexible storage, can still have a drawer, can be feild installed easily. You have to watch the direction that they swing out if near a range. There is a limiter that can keep it from hitting a range if it must be placed there. An alternative are the Rev-A-Shelf half moon pullouts- Plastic ones list at $272, Wood 441. Again don't get the smallest, storage is less than Lemans but they pull out in a different direction. Lemans is my first choice for blinds BUT final determination is made based on door opening and direction of swing/clearanc, and storage requirements. I disagree that a super susan is the most efficient- depends on the layout. When doing a susan, if I'm doing either frameless or inset I always use a Suzi Q- which has a slightly higher sq in than typical pie cut super susan but is easier to use.(Suzi Q is NOT field install ever)

I see that Kraftmaid has them. They seem way better than a lazy susan. Anyone know the standard size?

Mxk3: also check into the Magic Corner….I think by Rev-a-shelf….we have one and I love it. Corners always waste space, nature of the beast. (See pics below…halfway out, all the way out, then closed and tucked away.)

Diagonal corner drawer. Size/configuration are custom, based on the space allocation and design preference.

Another option that seems to be more efficient storage wise and with no custom cabinetry, will be less expensive.

This is for a laundry room remodel. I really don't like those rev-a-shelf thingies or lazy susan's, I'd rather sacrifice space for ease of access, especially for quickly and easily grabbing stuff like laundry soap or cleaning supplies.

I have lazy susan's in my kitchen -- two of them! Why the other owner didn't put a more thoughtful solution into two blind corners I cannot answer. Anyway, I store stuff that I don't use often like baking dishes, blender, etc. because I find them kinda annoying. I think I would like teh pull-out drawers much better, even if can't store as much in them.

If you would like ideas on alternatives for laundry storage, a picture of room might be worth submitting, as there are a lot of talented people on this site.
