The gold filagree mirror seems at odds with your room: rustic wooden beams, metal dining chairs, black iron chandelier, bare wood floor, burlap table runner.

I know styles can be mixed but I’m not talented enough to have it look good.

What a fabulous mirror and beautiful room, and what wonderful inspiration photos you've found! If you center it on the wall, you can add interesting artwork on either side. Looks like you have great, eclectic taste, so I'm thinking you've got this!

By the way, you can expect others (especially Houzz "pros") to chime in and tell you that you should never, under any circumstance, hang a mirror in a dining room. You'll be told, "Nobody wants to watch themselves eat" (as though people actually stare into the mirror while they're sitting there and chew like cows), but many of us think it's a beautiful, traditional element to add to a space where beloved faces, candlelight, and a bountiful meal are the things being reflected. I encourage you to not be swayed by naysayers.

From the position you took the photo, I cannot tell if it is now centered with the chandelier. I think the mirror is beautiful and works perfectly in your room. Can you take a photo that is not at an angle that includes the table and the mirror?

Love you inspiration photos, but think the mirror will be too close to the end of the table. I also think you may want to explore different chairs.

IMO the mirror doesnot belong in that space . I lke a bit of mix upu with styles but not that one I am trying to find out why the table is squished over to the right you have lots of sapce to move the table so yu can hang something on that wall. Any of us can understand centering the mirror on the table but IMO the inspiration pic is nothing like your space . I rarely like mirrors in DRs and for sure yours needs asom color and IMO a piece of art much better than any mirror.

The scale of your room is completely different than your inspo pics. The narrow table and skimpy chairs aren't helping. And you have a very large chandelier in a different style.

You seem to like oversize pieces and an eclectic look. Play that up. Use your table as a sideboard under the mirror. Then get a white Saarinen tulip table to mix things up and play with an eclectic look to set off the funky mirror. Your existing industrial chairs might even work...try it out and if not get the matching chairs for the table

OP, I think your existing furnishings - scale, size, all of it - is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing; I'd hang that mirror in a heartbeat.

I‘ve seen this look in many European designs and have always liked it. With it being an oversized and unique mirror style, I don’t think it being perfectly centered has to be a concern (but would look fine that way, too).

Best if it leans and sits on floor instead of hanging..but the mirror is very pretty

Thank you guys so much for hanging in here with me. So just to clarify, I just moved into an “already done home”. I did not get to pick the lighting or beams. The table and chairs are some I already had. I am looking more for placement ideas. I know the mix of farmhouse (which I hate) and all the others is a bit co fusing. The table will stay but I will re-stain black and change out the legs to something more sleek and less chunky. The chairs will go and be changed out as well. I love the natural style that RH has going now. Architectural pieces, mixing stones and metals yet keeping it feminine. The is centered with the chandelier. Should it not be??

Great mirror! Perhaps there is another space in the home where it can live?

I would rethink place for mirror. It is great to go to living /family room or entryway.
