Hi, We have a 3'x8' dining table in our formal dining room. We are thinking of Fucsia Suspension lights. They come in groups of 1, 3, 8, 12 pendants to a group. So to provide enough lights for the dining table do we go with two groupings of 'Fucsia Three Light Suspension Lamp' (see link below) OR one set of 'Fucsia Eight Light Suspension Lamp' http://www.ylighting.com/fuscia8.html OR single pendants - if so how many? If it were a link chain, that would be easy to do. Have her put a small table in the spot and top with a small tree. The chandelier light will add more charm to the tree.

Assuming that the existing track is in the correct position (over the table) and you don't want to mess with the ceiling electrical, you can attach a pendant to a track. For example, this Progress adapter (from which a pendant can be hung) attached to a Progress track. This simple WAC pendant attaches to a WAC track with a track adapter (option 2).

Why not have someone repair the drywall on the ceiling instead, and then the electrician can hang it in the right spot without any medallion. The electrician gave you that suggestion because that is what he could hang, not what can be done.
