CHandeliers are all the rage in bathrooms now a days. You have to watch code (draw a box, 3' by 8' high from any source of water...you can't have open bulbs in that box) but with your vaulted ceiling, you're probably fine there. Actually you're fine if you aren't having any inspections too, but I just discovered that my lighting falls in that box (because some idiot might stand on the tub deck, with a tub full of water and change a lightbulb, slip and hold onto the socket with their finger in it, and then electricute themselves and others). In my opinion any idiot that stupid deserves it heh heh but that's code, so I thought I'd share it since you mentioned the whirlpool :) Look at a couple of design magazines on bathrooms..you'll see chandeliers in almost all of them.

It's not an heirloom. I actually bought it years ago at the beach during an end of season sale. It's really pretty but the color and style (blue and beachy) doesn't work in my house at all. I know some say that doesn't matter but it does to me. I told her she could have it but the only place it will work, and quite well, is her bathroom. I'm thinking it might as well be used insteald of being packed away. At least she'd get to enjoy it for a while. I'm guessing after some time the paint could crack and chip off?

Thanks! It really does "wander." The mosaic has a repeating "pattern" that isn't quite square/even, which made the tile guys really work at installing it. (The split-face mosaic in the other bathroom drove them even crazier trying to get it to line up to their exacting standards!)

Very happy with it....the matt is a bit more yellow than i wanted so i think i might get that changed....maybe Ill leave it for a couple weeks the forget about it :) But im definitely happy with size and all! can i use this on another wall and the use blue as my accent color or do i have stick in these kinda colors now?
