I am fairly certain a read a post somewhere that the commenters were lamenting the lack of color in home decor these days. I think these sellers got the memo.
Was this on Zillow Gone Wild? I def. have seen some of it on their Instagram acct.
Presumably the furnishings will leave with the current owners?
Or maybe not?

Why the listing describes the decor, I don’t know. No matter how it was decorated, the furnishings and etc would be gone, and you are going to paint anyway. Your real expense would be really good primer. Times 3.
Actually, I saw it on my MCM group, the poster liked the beaded curtain. It IS the calmest part of the house.
I can't unsee it now. I did like the green steps for bookshelves. Looks like the kitchen was supposed to be like a Mary Engelbreit design but something got lost in the visual translation.
How funny! I own a home in THAT zip code! Built in 1980, 2 car garage. 🤣 You just never know how the neighbors have decorated. THAT is hideous! (I'll show it to DH later....he'll get a kick out of it)
Are those super-sized quilting hoops above the sewing machine?
they're hula hoops, popular among a certain type of artsy, performative type crowd.
I have some friends who are very much that type of person. The kind of people who would save up their money and vacation time to go to Burning Man every year, if that paints a picture for you. They're actually a very delightful crowd to be around, and throw a great party!
I didn't see the hula hoops when I looked at the listing yesterday. They have a ton of them! I love to hula hoop. It is a great form of exercise. I even have two that I pack in my suitcase for when I am traveling. LOL
You should meet some of my "burning man" friends. Imagine people with the energy and whimsy of a 9 year old, but with the minds of engineers. They create some crazy amazing things. That style is not for me, but like I said, they are fun to hang out with.
