Ideas for kitchen with gray fantasy brown counters

Hi! I’m new to this app. I kept looking on Pinterest and this app kept popping up, so I downloaded it and love it already!! I’m remodeling my kitchen & I found the most beautiful fantasy brown counter tops that are more gray and white. They have no brown in them and a little dusting of a rose quartz color. I’m wanting ideas on what color cabinets would look best with it. Our floors are a medium gray, so I initially thought all white but I kind of wanted the island to pop out. I really like the gray and white color scheme though. I’m also looking for a cute backsplash! Thoughts anyone?

introduction of color might be wise. Color on island with complementary colored glass backsplash/ . color creates another element due to all the gray and white in your choices so far. do you have a picture of a kitchen "look" you are aiming for.

I have fantasy brown countertops, midnight espresso cabinets, but my paint is a blue gray. The fantasy brown I have has a lot of gray in it so it looks great together. It depends a lot on the slabs. Some are very very brown with not much gray and white, some have very little browns but a lot of gray and white. Take a look at the very long post here labeled calling all fantasy brown owners. Lots of pictures of our kitchens to look at. Also you can search on houzz for fantasy brown with gray cabinets.

I think the larger particles are going out of style. They were among the first designs offered in quartz, and that dates back to the early to mid 90s. I seldom see anyone show it as a candidate on the forum. Six years ago when I did my kitchen it was more common. I'd stick with the small particle quartz in the white or the light gray. I like the warm tone of the light gray but it may not have the same undertone of the island, so you'll want to check that carefully. Same with the white colors and your white cabinets.

Thank you very much for the advice. I like Fantasy Brown a lot. I am not sure if it would work in my counter with the seam at the corner. It seems like pieces of Oyster White or Lennon are easier to join together discretely. Also, with the small appliances on the counter - microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle - I am not sure how much granite flow I will be able to see at a time. Is Oyster White look too simple in your opinion? What backsplash do you suggest to make it more visually interesting? What color of the floor tile is the best? My kitchen opens to the hallway/living room with red oak floor. I prefer not to have hardwood in the kitchen.

We have it in polished with SW Thunder Gray on the bottom cabinets and we get tons of compliments on it. I was so scared but once it was installed I fell in love with it. It is beautiful!! So, so happy we went with it.

@herbflavor: thanks for the response! I was thinking of something like this picture I found on here…but my floors are kind of a medium gray. I wanted to do a gray island, but I’m still deciding. I don’t love navy, it looks beautiful, I’m just not a navy fan. I’m afraid to do a bold color and change my mind in a year. That’s all I got right now, haha. My counter has more gray than this picture as well, so I don’t know if the gray island with gray floors and grayish counter will look great…

there are other shades of blue. As to your thoughts about picking things.....you might also regret NOT deviating from gray when all is done and you are looking at that island every day in the middle of your space .
