Driveway planting

Crazymommy
last year

I'm hunting for a low-growing low maintenance plant to edge one side of my driveway. It needs to be able to spread and probably have more shallow roots due to a Bradford pear. I wish to do this, in part, because I've noticed my neighbor uses my driveway instead of his own sometimes to move a trailer. He's very inconsiderate and dense so a discussion doesn't mean he won't. I'd plant day lilies, but I feel he's just going to drive over them.

I'm considering Ballerina Indian Hawthorn, but I’d like input and ideas. Want low maintenance and drought tolerant. Would prefer native as I've had better success. Sun to part shade, in particular late afternoon sun.
