Or alternatively, do you know of a good burr grinder that's small enough for convenient drawer storage?

We have the Baratza Encore Conical Burr coffee grinder. Is it the most attractive? No. But we are function over form people. It's easy to use and clean and does what we need it to do.

I've got the Encore as well. Agree that the function/price combo is hard to beat. But if I'm daydreaming about a pretty coffee maker, I might as well daydream about a pretty grinder.

We have the Baratza Virtuoso+ coffee grinder. Love it, and the footprint is not very big compared to other burr grinders. It has conical burrs and 40 grinder settings so that you can set it for the best grind for brew coffee, espresso, french press, or whatever you like. The bin that collects the ground coffee is backlit by LEDs, not sure whether that matters. Its digital grind timer setting can be a little sensitive, so that if you set it to e.g., grind for 15.3 seconds, and you don't turn the dial with a light touch, it might turn to 17.5 seconds or some other time, so you just have to watch for that, it's not a big deal.

As to whether it is attractive, well, it looks like a coffee grinder, so it is neither unattractive nor attractive; it is what it is.

I also have a Baratza Encore because it is important to me to have a good quality burr grinder for drip coffee and espresso. I suppose you could put it in a drawer if needed. Mine tucks into an appliance garage (which was in the kitchen when I bought the house) with the toaster and the blender base.

I have the Bodum burr grinder with the glass receptacle and think it's rather cute.

Oh, I like that one! I think "attractive" to me might mostly mean "No black or smoky plastic."
