Any prices in this thread are going to be completely irrelevant starting right about now. Expect a minimum 15% price increase, due to the tariffs. Some will have more than a 15% increase, as the labor of stone fabrication has stayed fairly stagnant now for over 10 years, and this is the time to rectify the labor market. It won’t be just quartz that is affected either. Most stone is imported. Most tile is too. Almost everything construction related is already high due to the hurricane rebuilds starting last year, and we now have another massive rebuild staring us in the face as well.

Has anyone used CityQuartz for quartz countertops? Good or Bad? Where does it fall in the spectrum of good quality and poor quality for quartz countertops? How much would a reasonable price per square footage be? Thank you!!

It shouldn't be necessary. Microwaves have been used on countertops since they were invented. I have mine on a lacquered wood shelf (part of the cabinet, basically) and there is no damage. I could see using something under it to contain messes if you are in a messy household.

The only solution to remove dull marks is to repolish the entire countertop using professionals who use a diamond grinder. Next time, avoid installing quartz. Regardless of the manufacturer, opt for natural stone like granite or quartzite instead.
