Comments (2)Isn't is complicated (and expensive) when the builders build homes with these beautiful windows and we have to figure out how to "treat" them? I don't think I would cover those windows up with a shade and keep them closed. Remote control may be your only choice. Perhaps they have remote control shades that can be purchased in a non -remote control version for the other windows so they match. For another option, yes, I think you can layer a shade underneath say a woven blind on those upper windows. I would definitely add panels from ceiling to floor to soften the look. Others may have input on the dropcloths but it sounds like it could work to me. You could always add some ribbon along the edge to add some color and make them look more tailored. Of course, I think you need to make them into panels with a rod pocket and hem. Your townhouse is beautiful!...See Morecurtains over sliding doors
Comments (5)I have sliding shutters on my patio door. I really like them. You can open the louvers as much or as little as you want for privacy and light. I like that you can expose one side of the glass for entry and also for letting in a lot of light. They are very practical and decorative. They can be a little pricey, but you will have to them forever...See Morewindow coverings needed
Comments (6)How about 3M residential window film? We used it on a slider in the kitchen and it helped a lot. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-3m-products/~/All-3M-Products/Films/Window-Films/Residential-Window-Film/?N=5002385+8710654+8710938+8711017+8721691+3294857497&rt=r3...See MoreWindow treatment
Comments (7)Thank you. Initially that’s what I thought too. Would two sets look funny? I like having the light, and then keep the bottom closed? I have to get in the tub to open and close lol....See MoreSusan
