Thank you watergal, I will definately isolate it and clean it up, I'll try the shower first as well and then spray it. I took an old toothbrush and tried to scrub some of 'it' off of a small area, whatever the stuff is it's really hard to remove. There are no aphids and there aren't any white flies, so far... but if it's eggs then maybe they just haven't hatched yet. The leaves seem to be the only area unaffected so far. Fortunately it's warm enough where I am now that I can place it outside again, so if it's eggs on there, they won't hatch in my house!! If all else fails, I'll give my baby up for adoption to someone with less fear of bugs in their house over the winter! Thanks again for your help!

No one around here is making snow angels. After we shovel it, push it, snow blow it, clear the sidewalk for the umpteenth time after the snow plow has gone by, unload the roof, herd our autos to the grocery store, amd fill the bird feeder, we go inside and view the snow from there. The fact that the temperature has been running in the single digits at night might be a factor, too. Kudos to those who are young enough at heart to make a snow angel. Last night, it got so cold that the snowmobilers went inside to sip coffee and did not come back out. There was an erie stillness in that the normal buzz of a snowmobile in the distance was quieted. I looked out on the moonlit snow in my backyard and saw a deer raiding the bird feeder - again. It was so hungry that it had been eating my brush pile of trimmings that had been on a tree a month ago.

My outdoor patio has rubber tiles (made from recycled tires) on the concrete slab. I have used a detergent+water solution in a pressure washer to clean the tiles but a white "stain" remains. What is the white stuff and how can I remove it?
