Antique Rose Emporium Fall Festival of Roses
Comments (17)Actually Sue, I am intending to come out west again within a few months. I was in California in June/July of 2006 for a week or so, and had a blast! I had wanted to walk 'neath those stately redwoods since I first saw a film about them in elementary school, a long LONG time ago! Since I have been there in summer, I am shooting for a winter or early spring visit next time. I would love to meet some of my California rose friends while I am there this time! Comments (10)Carol, Its blooms are about 3-4 inches across, so a pretty good sized bloom. Its been blooming for about two weeks and still has some buds. Its an incredibly healthy rose. Plus the hips are suppossed to be beautiful :)...See MoreCoffee Country rose (own root from Antique Rose Emporium)

Look at both the roses.. different styles, different cut ( bloom) , different colour and most likely different scent. SoFl, I feel as if I am getting into the same boat. I have room but it is matter of time that I will door be out of space. My husband is already asking me. 40 is not enough..Geezs, Jin. I want French roses, possibly a few Islanders, Antique ( mostly ) and also DA ( mostly ). Any perfumes made of roses like Nahema is on my want list. Then , I want big blooms which are big roses. I have a long , long lists lastly climbing roses which I also have a list. Trying to cut half my list by is not working :( Cori Ann, you are killing me too....your roses are beautiful. Really gorgeous. Jin...See MoreAntique Rose Emporium-rose size?
Comments (37)Thanks all! He might look great in the photos, but he's a fussy little devil. Diane, I was looking at some of my photos of baby Abe and the stems were rather spindly on them also. I can't remember if these are two or three year-old plants. I've given them away because they were not happy in pots. Or rather I thought they were not happy in pots, but the problem was me. I didn't water them enough in the hot summer and then the water just ran down the sides between pot and rootball. Then when I soaked them enough, I soaked them too much. Growing in pots is tricky here....See MoreDave4bWY
