There was a Delta pull-out in our house when we bought it. It functioned fine but I disliked the awkwardness of using it. Something about the way you had to hold it to use it in certain situations bothered me. The handle was just clumsy feeling sometimes. If I wanted to turn the head or clean the sink and turn my hand, the handle got in the way of the hose, etc. When we renovated we replaced it with a Kohler Vinnata pull-down. I much prefer the pull-down. It's just a natural, more ergonomically correct way of using a faucet in my opinion. I like that you grip the whole head of the faucet with your whole hand and that's it...no handle to fiddle with also. And no, if the faucet is made correctly, they don't dangle. We've had ours for six years now. It retracts perfectly, doesn't tangle and always goes back in just fine. What Frankoma states above about a pullout, stands for a pull-down also. I can fill my coffeepot or my stockpot on the counter with my pull-down just fine. It doesn't just pull DOWN, you pull it down and out too. :)

Just a thought--the Kohler Vinnata can be installed with the handle in the middle, which makes it easily accessible from either side.

Swisscook--Thank you for your quick reply and advice. I just found an article in TOH magazine (9/11) which features three similar Moen single-hole, pulldown faucets: budget (Lindley), mid-range (Brantford), and luxury (Woodmere) models. Wish Moen's own website would be more specific about their different product levels. Only price and some features hint as to the increase in price on similar faucets. According to their site, the most expensive one does not have the "Reflex" feature, but has a sprayer with a start and stop button feature. It claims the Brantford does not have this "start/stop" button, but the specs sheet listed in a link do show this as a feature of both faucets. Very confusing as to which ones have this "Reflex" feature and the "start/stop " button. I did notice your Arbor faucet is now showing the Reflex feature on their website. Maybe you can exchange it for the newer model before you install it?

I have the Moen Brantford and I like everything about it. The spray does lock, the toggle button is very easy to use, it re-docks itself easily every time (has a weight that pulls it back into place), and -- this is the main thing -- I never have to think about my faucet. The height is great for rinsing off tall things. The pause button is handy for filling pots next to the sink. (I never saw the point of a pause button before and it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but I find myself using it quite a lot.) I especially liked the price. If I were doing it again I would get the exact same faucet, or possibly another one in the Moen Reflex line if I wanted a different style. The Brantford's handle sticks out far enough that I can operate it with my wrist when my hands are chickeny; that's why I chose that particular one. (I definitely wanted a one-hole, one-handled faucet that pulled down, not out.) edited to add: Forgot you asked -- 2 years, no problems. We have Moen bathroom faucets that are 16 years old and work just like they did when they were installed. I am hoping the kitchen ones will be just as durable.
