ZLINE gas range recall

Hi all,

Anyone have any update on the ZLINE gas range recall?

Back in early December 2022, our ZLINE gas range started setting off the carbon monoxide alarm. The gas company came out, confirmed it was leaking CO and we had not been using it since. When the recall came out on 12/30/2022, we registered on the first day.

We haven't heard anything since. I've called zline multiple times to try to get an update. The recall hotline is handled by a separate company that only does the registration. The main ZLINE customer service also has no context.

Anyone got the replacement parts yet? Anyone successful in reaching out to ZLINE to get an update or ETA?

I'm in the same situation. Also asked Zline Customer Service what the parts are that are being replaced. Trying to understand more technically the problem and solution. I keep getting the runaround. When I first used the oven I noticed a strong gas smell. Zline actually told me this was "normal". Just open a window. Doesn't make me trust this company.

Just received this message from Zline:

This department is currently unaware of the specific parts in the repair kit. We have been told that the repair kit has been certified to fix the issue causing the recall. Repair kits will begin shipping out next week. This is the information this department will be able to provide as of this moment.

We bought a zline on Amazon (30 inch) due to budget constraints, and although the specs said 640 cfms, I doubt it is anywhere close to that. It just barely moves the air around, and is so loud I can't stand to cook under it! I just don't think these bargain vent hoods are worth the savings, and wish we had ponied up for a real hood. Of course, ymmv. That said, you might be safer purchasing from Costco with their generous return policy and generally decent quality of products. Hth

I bought a Zline 36" gas stove with electric oven, and have had it for over a month now. I've hosted a few dinner parties with it and can't say enough good things about it. Just this past weekend, I had a few friends over and used 5 out of the 6 burners at the same time, as well as the oven, without issue. I've made homemade bread in the oven several times now and it always come out great (highly recommend using a pizza stone with it). I don't have an extra oven thermometer, but just judging by how well it cooks, I'd say the temp is pretty accurate. I'm pretty jazzed about it and looking to replace my vent hood soon with a Zline hood as well, to match my oven. From what I read online, their oven parts are sourced from around the world. I can confirm the burner system they use is manufactured in Italy (says it underneath the burner) but the rest of it is made in China, I'm pretty sure. I was wary of that as well at first, but I'm over the moon with this purchase. Nearly half the cost of a Bosch, arrived within a week, and I've been using it nearly every day without issue. In more ways than one, this oven is so much better than the previous one that was in my house (even just the way it looks, alone, some of my friends thought I paid a lot more for it than I did). I sound like a fan boy right now, but I just feel like I definitely got my money's worth and wanted to share my experience.
