Eating in the garden: Table ideas needed
Comments (7)What a score, dis! My dad turned a damaged antique billiard table into an outdoor "farmhouse" style table and built two long wooden benches to go with it. It was gorgeous. The weather finally got to it too. The benches are still here, but the table has been cannibalized to build the desk I'm sitting at and the headboard in my bedroom. I have tried tiling a big piece of plywood for a table top, but moisture got to it and popped the grout. Currently, I use two round metal tables: those ugly ones from the 70s with the screen-metal tops. They were both hand-me-downs. I spray painted them both dark green and bought sixteen dark-green plastic chairs and two dark-green umbrellas. I really love them because I can leave them right on the lawn and water the lawn without moving them. Bird poop rinses off easily. I can stack the chairs for the winter. Comments (2)You may want to check out Canadel tables. Click on the "Table with Options" link. Maybe the "boat" shape table would work? Good Luck! Here is a link that might be useful: Canadel Tables...See Moreneed ideas for new coffee table and end tables for living room!!
Comments (5)What you've done thus far looks lovely, the dining room is yummy. Most of the living room is done well but I have a little issue with the balance of the room. In the photo ,looking straight on to the sofa, I see that it's not centered on the wall and the chevron pattern chair seems crowded. Is it possible to center the couch and move your heirloom between the two windows to another spot. Take the chevron chair and put it at an angle up near the window more to the right of the window. Then take your heirloom piece and place it to the left of the sofa. Just a suggestion....See MoreHELP CHOOSING CHAIRS FOR THIS TABLE IN NEED OF IDEAS NEED YOUR HELP
Comments (3)Not a designer. Based on examples here on Houzz, it looks like she can use any chair. Even her current chairs....See MoreMaria Martin
