The Sears chandelier is interesting & I think the burner assembly is probably a good candidate for my shade although in a different usage, possibly as a combo shade & chimney. I wonder what that particular type of burner was called? I can't imagine mine used as a chimney with an outer shade covering the bottom half of it - if for no other reason than it would obscure too much light. And it's fairly large around the bottom, not to mention that it was probably an expensive piece. Frankly, I never considered it a chimney at all but the shape & height IS more akin to a chimney than a shade or globe. Instead of answers, now I have more questions!!!!!

Chris, I can't help you with the shades, but I wonder can you maybe change the harp size? I just purchased two swing arm lamps on CL a few months ago and hated the cheap shades but wound up finding some neat ones at a thrift store that happened to fit as if they were made special for them. The harp on mine is different than table lamp harps (it's called a cup harp) but I found some online at the link below. Hopefully this could save you from purchasing new shades which are way more costly than harps. I took my antique capidomonte lamp to a lamp/shade store. The owner is an expert in that sort of thing. I was leaning towards a bigger shade, and she said you want the lamp to be the focus, not the shade. She helped me pick out a new finial as well. The old one is bakelite.

The glass and metal lamp shade is a huge part of the value of that style lamp -- and you don't want to just "toss" it. It likely would sell on line -- Facebook Marketplace or Craigs List or Ebay, etc. -- or even a yard sale. If you are not interested in doing that, then, at the very least, donate it to a Habitat for Humanity Restore Store or a charity run thrift store near you that supports a cause in which you believe. IF you want a lamp upgrade, buy a new lamp -- a tall thin metal or wood one with a medium to large white shade. You might even find one you like at Habitat for Humanity Restore Store if you go by to donate the one you have.
