Comments (16)Thanks everyone. It is a VERY busy quilt but I think it has possibilities as a play quilt. The back is the same material. Someone asked about the letters. I copied them from "PS I love You Three!" by Lynda Milligan and Nancy Smith. They were fused then I stitched around them with a narrow blanket stitch and used that as part of the quilting. I intended to put them on baby blocks but made the blocks before I realized the letters would be too big so changed the design. Sharon, your right they are never too old even at 56. Comments (14)Yes, it's a gift. A good friend of my husband's just had his first baby. I'm not real close to the family so I admit I hadn't keep track of the due date. Two weeks ago DH said "Were you going to make a baby quilt for J's little one? It's due next week." Yikes! Of course, it doesn't take long to make a baby quilt and this simple pattern went together quickly. We'll be visiting one evening this week to see the baby and deliver the quilt....See MoreScrap Quilt Class - Block #5
Comments (24)Rebecca, That's just STUNNING! Easy to do, really? Looks complex at a glance. But I would like to take a minute to say a couple of things. While I'm swamped w/ ongoing quilts (& am job hunting too), this design is definately on my mental list of things to do next (or soonish)! It's especially helpful color & designwise to see a number of interpretations of each of these related designs. Inspires so much color thinking for me, I especially appreciate this kind of thread! Thx to all for sharing!...See MoreI finally get to share a photo of...
