Makeover dilemma

What decorations should I add? I was thinking of some paintings and also add more to the beddings like duvet and throw pillows. However the color of the wall is blue and the furniture is green so idk what color goes well ... (FYI: furniture color can't be changed :( )

Is that the actual room? IMO thta bed looks like aboard to sleep on but this might not be the actual space if not take pics of it. Maybe a bit more info too

The cutout for the bed leaves the placement of bedside tables in an awkward position. They ended up too far away from the head of the bed so you can't really reach items there very easily, and they just don't look right. It must be rather difficult too to reach back to put the fitted sheets on at the head of the bed. As an alternative, why don't you construct a knee wall along the length of that wall? You would still retain the extra floor space by having the bed pushed back and the entire look and function would be improved.

Alfred, I have not read through all of your thread, but from my perspective, it seems like the tile is ok. Have you looked into having it professionally cleaned? A “green” type of cleaning maybe, if possible - I’m sure something like this should be available in CA. Then just do the pavers and maybe some edge plantings in unpaved area, and put up a gazebo. You could start with, or just permanently use, a portable gazebo - as I show in pic in my first comment. I would really not get jackhammers, etc. and try to do this yourself. If you want to make a major change in the future, I would recommend just saving up and hiring professionals. You will save yourself the wear and tear and probably get better results that way. I really think you can work with your tile as it is. If you want to change/vary the look, in some areas you could place some outdoor rugs.

I would definitely add cozy fluffy bedding to soften the space. Also a small side table with a light and are pieces on the wall. Maybe a small plan by the desk. The space is fine just not finished

LOVE this fresh combination of colors! Think the color of trees in the spring and beautiful blue skies. Fresh, clean, wonderful! I would find a fun rug to tie the colors together. Check out AnneSelke.com for Dash and Albert striped rugs in spring green/blue/white combination. I would keep the bedding crisp white. And use a pillow in a darker bright blue and one in spring green on the bed. Then…ART on the wall between the bed and the window. A modern poster/abstract with LOTS of white, bright green and bright blue. Keep it simple, clean and cool!
