All three baths look like this. Same cabinets, floor, paint, lights, faucets, etc. They haven't been touched since the house was built. I plan on painting the vanities, cream in the guest room bath and main bath and navy in the powder room.

If you want it to look good to sell it or rent it, good old chrome is your best bet. If you have hard water, black can get more visible mineral deposits on it, every time it is used. I sure don’t want to be wiping off my fixtures with every use! If you have narurally soft water there, you can be more creative. Brushed or polished chrome will be unnoticed, just fade in to the background. That might be best in a rental.

I agree good old chrome always a great choice . I actully dislike black in most bathrooms . I have matte black and stainless faucets in my kitchen it just works there since I have matte black counters and stainless sinks , I would not have done the black in my bathrooms .Before doing anything else change that awful lighting

Are those vanities 36" high, or an older, shorter height? If they are, I recommend replacing at least the one in the master. Unless you're short, the higher ones installed now are easier to use. Shorter ones are better in secondary baths if there are children in the house. It looks like the floors are builder beige, so use a warm white when you paint the vanities. A cool white will look wrong with the floors. Try SW Alabaster or BM Simply White or Cloud White.
