deck chair cushions

last year

My daughter requested I sew 8 cushions for her new deck table and chair set. I thought I'd be putting together two pieces of fabric like a pillowcase with ties at the corners. "Oh No Mom I don't want that!" Moving outside my comfort zone and using ideas that came in the middle of the night I put together the cushion below. cover #2 doesn't have such crisp corners but I figured out how to make a flap to hide the zipper. Number three turned me into a frog ( ripir ripit) but I'm feeling more confident about my abilities. The bright fabric is indoor/outdoor and the pale fabric is really aqua linen with silver thread shot through. I told her to use one side for a few years, flip the cushions for a few more years, and then replace. And if the dog chews these cushions it better join the witness protection program.
