Many years ago, I toured the Charleston Tea farm with the co-owner, and professional tea taster, Charles Barkley Hall. I remember him explaining that tea leaves have more caffeine than coffee beans but that the way tea is typically brewed, the caffeine is greatly diluted. Thus, the leaves are more potent than the beans, but the beverages are different.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! 🫖☕️
