I need help with finding the right lamp shade for the lamp base.
Comments (3)I would go with a fabric drum shade. Here's a guide on how to pick the right size shade: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/how-to-choose-the-right-size-lamp-shade-apartment-therapy-tutorials-107600...See MoreAdvice on lamp shade (for huge, inverted teardrop, glass lamp)
Comments (7)In my opinion, the base of the shade is too narrow in diameter. If you want it more streamlined, I would avoid the scalloped edging and go for a more tailored shade. I would probably have the shade a couple of inches longer as well. I would use a style similar to the one at this link (no pleats, ruffles, etc) except I would get one that is plain rather than embellished with embroidery and make sure the color works with your lamp).shade style example...See Moresweet vintage lamps need lamp shades
Comments (1)For the first, I would probably do a burlap drum shade (the shape reminds me of a mid-century lamp we had when I was a kid that had that sort of shade). The second one is so tiny. It needs a clip-on shade. I think I would do a tapered shade. I could see black or white. I think it would look cute with a patterned shade, too, but that might take away from the base. I'd look to your decor for guidance on color....See Moresilk lamp shades need updating???
Comments (5)I think they are lovely. If the color has started to yellow, fresh ones might be needed. I use LampsPlus online for silk shades and have been very pleased....See MoreRelated Professionals
