Comments (14)This is all great advice. I figured out today (duh - late to the party, maybe?) that the Dimension Plus model also has the "auto open" feature - it's just not that well advertised (maybe they think people will downgrade from the Diamond?) The fully integrated one is about $1900 here at a local appliance store - that's high but really not that much her that the KA KUD60 or KUD70 models. I'm going to take in a bunch of dishes and give it a try. I've read that there's sort of an adjustment period for learning to load it. If our tall glasses fit (they are my lifeline,) then Miele we shall order! Is it best to order through a local store and have them install it? Or will service go through a Miele rep anyway (not the store?) I ask b/c my house is crawling with contractors and our plumber is great. There are some better prices on the internet but all my other appliances I have ordered locally because they will service them (family run appliance store - three generations.) BUT they don't service Miele so I'm not sure if it makes a difference? OK - so Bosch is out. KA is looking less likely. If the Miele fits, buy it?! (P.S. The Ferguson here in Baltimore, MD has a lower model - G 4thousand something for sale as a floor model for $895. Not sure if anyone wants that model but you should call if you do! As I said, I missed getting the floor sample Diamond by a matter of hours. UGH!...See MoreCramping, but no periods
Comments (160)Hello j9sgarden, so as for other symptoms I also had discharge that I thought was Bacterial Vaginosis. I don’t do well with antibiotics and I heard this can also rectify itself. It just was not. Also I had lost my sister this past summer and had to move in with my mother and brother to help us all cope with her loss. So my issues took a back seat. We were all grieving. I started noticing the cramps were getting worse. I was getting flooding during my period for a couple days which I also researched on the web happens to some women during perimenopause with the hormone fluctuations. I was getting my period around every 45 days or so. So there was just a lot of stress in my life and I started researching doctors and finally settled on one though I was so apprehensive and nervous about the appt. Of course the morning I was to go my flooding/period came on full force. The doctor was amazing and still wanted to do a pelvic exam. She spotted the large mass right away and sent me directly to the ER. I was there 15 hrs had 4 pelvic exams and flooded through each one. It was not a good day. They ended up doing a biopsy while I was there. I was beyond frightened during all of it. They basically said it was cancer and a large mass but needed to find out what kind. Since then it has been a roller coaster ride of scans and procedures of not knowing exactly what I was facing. I still have a PET SCAN on the Nov 26. This week we set up and prepare the radiation treatments. I get the tiny tattoos they use to make sure they get the exact areas to treat. I will get radiation 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Every Monday of those 5 weeks I will also get Chemo. The chemo increases/helps the radiation work better. There are 3 different nausea drugs taken on different schedules to really eliminate nausea. They say I may lose some hair but it will be minimal. My chemo drug is Cisplatin. They will also do some radiation internally but start doing it from the outside first. It will fry the ovaries so I will immediately go into menopause. I hope this sheds some light on symptoms and what made me finally go to the doctor. Any other questions I am glad and open to answering. But like I said please just find a Womens Clinic and check any and every concern you may have. Mine was cervical cancer your may not be. But a dedicated womens clinic will make sure you get a thorough examination. Take care ladies....See MoreWhats a house must have?
Comments (64)I am a fifty three year old divorced woman so my needs now are very different than they were when I am a married mother of seven. I needed at least one bedroom on the ground floor if the stairs started giving me problems. Currently I sleep in the bigger bedrroom upstairs and the other is a very nice guest room. I knew I didn't want or need outside maintenance work so I only looked at townhomes. I wanted pretty in most everything, I embrace my shallowness lol. My kitchen is tiny, perfect for me, I am not a huge cook or baker (although I now get one of the meal delivery services so I am cooking a bit more). When I do cook everything is right there, literally. I grew up in a different country and my standards and perspective might be a little different than the American standards I have seen over the years. I have 1100sq ft, a end unit, a very comfortable bed, a washer AND a dryer, a microwave (a pretty one even) a full sized refrigerator, a brand new stove/oven, two ok bathrooms (pure luxury where I am from), nice floors, heating and A/C. No outside work (and outside is lovely, all trees and (odd) little creatures). It's just me and my Leo, a ten lb. Bichon. I fill it with flowers as often as I can and really enjoy the quiet. And, I promise, it's pretty ;) i bought this little place, sight unseen. I had an excellent real estate person. For me, it's perfect....See MoreFun2BHere
