However, if you are a good Tech, you will get a lot more work, because when folks get interested in how their HVAC system is performing & in knowing how to reduce energy use, they will call a contractor for Tech help. I think he is getting a little too hi tech. for the home owner to do all this checking. How many home owners are going to buy air testing meter? (They don't need it.) A lot of dealers don't have them. Later paulbm I don't actually disagree with you Paul. The Tech needs all the air testing instruments; the folks running my simple test only need a thermometer & either a humidity gage or do a wet bull temp check. They can respond on twitter or on a forum, or e-mail me, & I'll go much further with that seemingly insignificant information. Just using that little info data; I can tell them an amazing amount of performance & trouble shooting information, concerning their system's performance. If they provide supply air & rerurn air wet bulb, I can closely ballpark with psychrometric software the BTUH that their system is delivering within those operating conditions. Every Tech could do that, especially if they had worked in HVAC/R since before the mid-1970's. The mfg'ers ought to provide the condenser splits so I wouldn't have to do extra figuring to get the condenser temp split at differing load conditions. Challenge me with actual test data & I'll show what we can come up with I need to know the "SEER Rating of the condenser." Your builder is supposed to know. Contract the hood to a COMMERCIAL installer and they will make sure system is right. My experience with commercial kitchens has been that make up air is provided intergal to vent-a-hood. There is no reason for tempering air in the comfort system when air can be drawn in ajacent to range. Hopefully that answer's your question,here's mine. Are you acting as your own GC? If you are and haven't started yet you should reconsider because there will be far rougher roads ahead concurning the build. If you have a GC and haven't started,hire a new GC.

Hi Nancy! Becareful about feeding the leaves with fertilizer. If it's a very very weak solution I can't see any harm but I don't make it a habit. I don't mind spring them down with fish emulsion and organic seaweed though. When talking about orchid care, many people use the words “feeding” and “fertilizing” interchangeably. It’s a common assumption that orchid fertilizer “feeds” the plant; but rather than providing a meal, fertilizing orchids is more like giving it a vitamin pill . Like other plants, Phalaenopsis orchids and others use photosynthesis to create their own food from water, carbon dioxide and the sun’s energy. Orchid roots absorb water from rain and humidity in the air and carry it to the leaves. The plants leaves absorb carbon dioxide from the air through pores called “stomata.” The pigment chlorophyll, which gives leaves their green color, absorbs the sun’s energy. Plants use that energy to break down the water molecules in their leaves into oxygen and hydrogen. Some of the oxygen is used by the plant but most is expelled into the air. The hydrogen combines with carbon dioxide in the plant’s cells to create sugar which is what actually feeds the plant. Does it fry? No. Does it cook small amounts of food, convection style? Yes. We like ours and since we are recent empty nesters, I love it for roasted veg, thin cuts of meat which are easy to overcook conventionally. Great for warming up leftovers that could get soggy in the microwave. It cooks faster than our toaster oven and makes the best baked potatoes/sweet potatoes ever. I keep it in the pantry just off our kitchen and of late have been using it several times a week. Today, I did roasted beets which I will reheat when I do baby potatoes and green beans for dinner. My 20 something daughters use theirs several times a week. For the investment it's a great little appliance provided you have the space for it. Since we don't eat a lot of toast and we have a toaster for when we want to, I am thinking of getting rid of my toaster oven, now that we have the air fryer. ETA - when we were a family of four, it wouldn't have been as sufficient as it is for us now.
