Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

That's what keeps the water from getting behind your walls or spilling out onto your floor from a deck. The Kohler Loure offers a waterfall tub filler with shower diverter control. The chrome trim list is $729,(No one pays list, average is about 70% of list) and then you need to choose your valve. The pressure balancing valve with stops is list at $209. I'd personally prefer a thermostatic valve though, and that starts to get more complicated, as you have to purchase everything even more separately, as in the shower arm, the shower head, the thermostatic trim, the thermostatic valve, the diverter trim, the diverter control, and the tub spout. That adds up to even more money. I'd be a heck of a lot cheaper to just buy him a $200 lavatory faucet! Then buy the cheapest "kit" with a thermostatic valve that you can find for the tub/shower as long as it's in the same finish....See MoreHelp, my marble tile floor doesn't match my marble slab countertops.
Comments (105)Renee you must be overwhelmed with all of these comments. Your countertops are GORGEOUS, so I do hope you keep them. Sophie's suggestion to stain the floors is well worth looking into. For what it is worth my suggestion for your backsplash is to go with a simple solid tile in a lighter color that coordinates with the countertop. I would suggest you not go too small with the tile- 3x6 to 4x12 would be a good size to stick with. You want to avoid too much movement in the backsplash as the counter (and the floor) have quite a bit of movement and you do not want them competing. Let the countertop be the star of the show. Good luck and let us know how it all ends up for you....See Moredesign ideas for replacing carpet next to existing tile

Comments (20)water will get up on the portion and will drip down onto the floor. if you have to have that ledge, then do glass doors. have it built up (but water is still going to get on the ledge and drip down. make sure your flooring is completely waterproofed. ledge too But, why waste that storage space? Wall it off and do a built in shelving area. same thing, but have cubbies facing outward This is a much better idea than the wasted space at the back of the tub which will leak water. Yes, you will have to do a smaller window. (or just remove that right window) but who needs or wants that big of a window in a shower area?? Or really, who needs two seperate windows in there? make it smaller and do the extra storage....See MoreRelated Professionals
