Bona Amber, Classic or Nordic seal on Red Oak with Swiss Coffee walls?
Comments (5)have your flooring person sand one area, and then apply sample swatches of the products you're thinking of. view them during different times of day as the lighting changes. once you picked a product, it'll be easy to sand that sample patch down again to get it ready for the whole job. (just be sure it's the kind of floor that can withstand multiple sandings.)...See MoreRed Oak Flooring - want to refinish with only Bona Traffic HD
Comments (20)Hi everyone! We are doing a full home renovation and have red oak floors on one floor of the house and white oak on the other floor. We are trying to get the floors to look as close in color as possible. I’ve seen a few threads and articles about using Bona Nordic Seal, Traffic HD Poly, and some mention using a country white stain (I think duraseal makes country white, and Bona just makes a “white”)- did any of you have the issue of two different woods and if so, did you do the same number of coats/combination of seals and stains on both floors? Or did you stain the red oak to dull the pink while leaving the white oak natural? We are going to sample some of the combos in the house to see before we decide but wanted to see what worked for others. Thank you!...See MoreBona Classic on red oak?

Comments (12)@laney I’m so sorry to hear all you’re going through and especially that your husband was badly injured. The most and only important thing is that he recovers quickly, fully and as easily as possible. As far as the floors go, they are definitely on the dark side and I’m not sure if you can match LVP to them. Stain Color looks different on every floor in every space and also depends on the finish. The same floor stain can look different in different rooms sometimes! I maybe you can have a section done and if you like it, have them make you a sample on the same wood as a sample you can take to match LVP. Or I would think a design pro could help with that. My aged barrel stain does hide all the pink/red undertones but as I said, it is on the darker side. Good luck and please reach out if I can help you in any other way. Hang in there....See MoreJay S
