Sledgehammer to heads. I am not about to lose 20k though I am tempted. Because the space already SUCKS. I never wanted a window and argued against it, but everyone else wanted it. Such a waste of space. The original plan looked acceptable because all the cabinets were lined up. Did not reflect reality. See below. They did not include dimensions either so who can even tell what is going on. My husband had to move the hood up because his head hits it. Note that they did not even use the right appliance dimensions or type. The fridge fits all wrong. I just have to try and line things up at the top. hits it.

High gloss is not for me. Not because I don't think it can look good in certain applications, but because I would freak out at the first scratch. I learned my lesson (for me only) long ago on furniture and cabinets. In my first home I bought very expensive solid cherry coffee and end tables with a nice beautiful shiny finish. The cat went skidding over the coffee table and left a scratch about ten inches long. There was no way to hide it, buff it out, cover it. I'm better with painted or natural wood finishes that are more forgiving. If you don't have kids, dogs, cats or a spouse, it's probably fine. I remember my nephew once tried to figure out if a piece of jewelry was a real diamond by scratching the glass face of a vintage clock. Yeehaw, it wasn't a diamond but it did scratch the glass...

Whites are hard! We have a space that somehow turns all colors extremely warm, so went with Decorator’s White which I never would have chosen from the swatch, and yet in our home it looks like a nice, clean pure white. I recommend getting Samplize samples of all colors involved and seeing how they work in your space.
