Tiny Bathroom Storage Ideas

Hi. I'm working on a tiny bathroom with no linen closet. I need towel/ personal items storage ideas. When I say tiny, I mean TINY. It's impossible to fit 2 people in there. Not happening Tiny

Do you have a vanity? Space on the walls for a small cabinet? Floor space for a cart? I’ve seen people put a shelf over the bathroom doorway for storage.

Get the largest vanity that will fit. Racks over the toilet.

Here is my very small guest bath in my Florida home. That bottom drawer hold 8

hand towels.

We have a linen closet down the hall from this bathroom.

When we bought this home, the previous owner had two towel barson the door plus

a small one over the toilet.

We didn't find this necessary but it's like storing towels in plain sight.

Also notice we chose a left offset sink.

That does not look like a load bearing wall to me. I would expect to see studs in the middle, or a header at the top. Here is a drawing of a small bathroom renovation I am doing right now. The room is only 5'x6' but I am squeezing a shower in there too. I bought a wall mount toilet and wall mount sink to save space and keep the floor open. Combined with large format tiles I am hoping it will make the room look bigger. Just to give you some food for thought. Definitely get rid of that wall to open things up. Also consider a smaller vanity so it doesn't take up so much of the room. Maybe a bigger mirror behind it and some wall shelves to make up the storage.

Several ideas: Idea 1: A shelf above the bathroom door could provide storage for toilet paper, and baskets can "neaten things up". This would only be visible from inside the bathroom. Idea 2: You say you're against too much clutter above the toilet. How about a train rack for towels? You can get a small, neat one, and the linens could bring some color into a rather empty bathroom. Moving linens to this spot would free up space under the sink for the toilet paper. Idea 3: How about a basket near the toilet to hold toilet paper rolls? It brings in an organic, natural item that softens the all-white bathroom.

I will ask my comtractor. He told me I had 12 inches width. If they can remove a 2x4 I could make this work. I was hoping to have more depth than 4 inches by coming out further but not sure if thats possible.

Maybe post some pictures so people can get more of an idea? There are lots of ready-made cabinet options for ‘above-toilet storage,’ and it’s always easy to put hooks for towels on the back of doors or cramped wall spaces.
