Legs kit for a console type sink
Comments (9)I forgot to mention, make sure you take the thickness of your granite into account when you measure your height for your legs- were your wall faucets installed for something that was overall 35" or that was 35" + 3cm/1.25" granite? If your granite is only 2cm/3/4" I am not sure it will span on its own without something supporting it but 3cm will. Sorry if you have this all sorted out again I just popped into this forum after not being here for a long time. The other thing to think about when using console legs is that the underside of your sink needs to be glazed. Most are not as they are intended to be installed in a cabinet. I ended up not being able to use the first sink I purchased when it arrived and I realized it had an unglazed bottom. And WOW I cannot believe how much the price of newport brass has gone up since we did our bathroom - I paid around $550 for ours in chrome (I wanted a 30" wide console which they had standard, which is why I did not order from the place I had linked) - the same one is nearly $900 now! But DEA's prices seem the same (at the time I was on the fence between chrome and nickel, DEA's prices even with modifications were less in Nickel than NB, but when I went for chrome NP was cheaper and the right size so I just went with that). I'm not sure what you mean by NB doesn't have the vintage look though - here is our NB/brasstech 30" console (though they do make it in 36" too but it is now MUCH more expensive - more than double the other I linked). This is it without the plumbing hooked up (sorry I can't find an after, I am not sure I took any!) I'm not sure what the height is but it's taller than our other vanity, that's for sure....See MoreWhere to get metal plated brass or 100% brass hand showers
Comments (5)Also try Phylrich or Newport Brass as they are both high end brands with beautiful finishes. I'm bought Phylrich fixtures for my master and guest bath (sink faucets as well as all shower trim - shower heads and hand held as well as the rough of course). They are so accommodating as they are having my oil rubbed bronze done with more copper peeking through :-). They were also willing to finish any other fixtures I got to have a matching finish for a relatively reasonable price....See Morefaucet brand w/ a finish matching Kingston brass brushed brass?
Comments (35)@Liz Patrick Love your kitchen and thanks for showing the differences in detail. On a time crunch with our kids’ bath and trying to decide if i can mix Kingston Brushed Brass faucets (which will go better with our lighting) and Delta Champagne Bronze fixtures in the shower which will be behind a shower curtain. In the pic of your kitchen faucet and disposal button, you called the Delta finish Champagne Gold but you meant Champagne Bronze right? Thanks for your help! Anyone else use Kingston brushed brass with Kohler shower components in Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass? Im wondering which one is a closer match, Kohler or Delta? I need something thats in stock and ready to ship so i cant wait for Brizo or California Faucets. Im also thinking of mixing the Kingston brushed brass fixtures in the vanity area with their polished brass in the shower behind the shower curtain. They dont have all the shower components we need in the brushed brass in stock. Would love anyone’s feedback..we decided to tack this on to a much more extensive reno and i dont have the luxury of going to showrooms to look for this part of the reno....See MoreChanging p-trap under console sink
Comments (3)It's pretty simple. It involves shutting off the main water supply and opening a couple of taps so you drain the system. The draining helps you avoid a lot of water from dribbling out when the supply lines are disconnected and the old shutoff valves are removed. Then the new valves are installed and the supply lines are reconnected. There are several types/sizes of shutoff valve and supply connections, but the threaded on type are most likely. For someone experienced or a plumber, it should take maybe 15 minutes. Since you are asking this question, it's probably best to get a plumber to do this for you....See MoreLinda@icookinmykitchen.com
