Are gaps in moisture barrier under solid timber floor a big problem?

Hi,

We are getting solid timber floorboards installed and they've laid the black plastic moisture barrier on concrete underneath battens. However, there are a lot of gaps around the edges with the plastic ending around 10-20cm away from the wall in quite a few spots. They also must have forgotten to put the moisture barrier down before the battens so they've just put separate pieces of the plastic in between each batten after the battens were nailed down, and each piece of plastic is not taped to the other so there's basically no moisture barrier underneath each batten and the plastic's just peeling up. The moisture barrier also doesn't go up the wall a little.

Just wondering if it's critical that this is fixed as I've asked them to fix it which they've verbally agreed to do but it doesn't look like they're doing it.

Thanks!
