Recliners that don't look like recliners
Comments (26)I recently bought mine from LazyBoy. I never thought I'd buy a recliner again because, like you, I don't like that "puffy, typical recliner look" in my decor. But, this looks ok, it's a smaller recliner and goes all the way back. And you have a choice of hundreds of fabrics. Plus, it was a very fair price for a decent piece of furniture. My husband LOVES it and it looks nice too....See MoreSleep and pets
Comments (117)I like it. Curled up behind my legs, sharing my pillow, next to me, doesn't bother me. I guess I find it comforting. And I don't mind the snoring either LOL. Cooper is big, but surprisingly light footed on the bed. He comes and goes, prefers to sleep downstairs but visits during the night and comes back in the morning. I swear he takes less room than the smaller pug! I like when the cats cuddle and purr as well. As for health evidence that proves it is detrimental? You could hand me evidence that PROVES this will shorten my life by several years and I would still do it. Show me that it is worse than smoking, drinking, swilling sugary drinks and eating purina people chow and calling it food, spraying bee killing chemicals on cash crops that have no real value, filling our water and air with pollution, and packing our soil with artificial fertilizers so we can suck the life out of Mother Earth herself. I'll take sleeping with dogs and cats on my bed in a heartbeat. And I am allergic :) Dances....See MoreAre there any “quality” reclining furniture manufacturers?
Comments (1)Stressless (Ekornes ) produces good quality recliners and sofas, but they are not cheap. That said, there are some good non-recliners out there, but you have to try them out in person. I find a lot of the popular brands are too deep and/or soft for comfort....See MoreSleep walker....
Comments (18)My brother Mike (5 years younger than me) who shared a bedroom with me with we were growing up would sleepwalk. Sometimes he would walk into a closet and not be able to get out until someone rescued him. He would not remember any of this the next morning. He also talked quite a bit in his sleep, but if I asked him questions in his sleep, he did not hear me or respond to them. I used to talk in my sleep, but I don't think that I still do. I would remember what I had said in my sleep the next morning, however. There must be something else your neighbor can take besides Ambien to help her sleep. I think Melatonin is supposed to help and is quite safe. There might also be medical cannabis that would work. It worked for me when I worked graveyard shift and got home at 7 am and could not get to sleep at that time. Fortunately, I did not work that shift for very long....See Moreratherbeatthebeach
