Hello. I have this narrow half walled hallway, that separates entrance and dining room.
It's 8'x4'. I'm thinking to put a 9'' ikea shoe rack. Any ideas? Idially i want to have some space for keys/shoes when entering home and have organized and
Looks like entry door opens onto only wall in entry & closet door opens into the 4’ space - so don’t think there’s room for anything in actual tiled entry. That set back wall with air flow intake? register looks like a great place for a tall bench style or parsons style console table that’s open to floor below for placement of a shoe rack & won’t block air flow since open rather than closed cabinet. I see an outlet so a candlestick type lamp for light, a basket or tray to hold keys etc., art on wall & you have a functional entry. Maybe a pretty & long mirror on that wall in entry next to coat closet would be nice. It’s nice to have a mirror for last check on way out the door.
Is this a house or a condo/coop?
Consider deconstructing the wall to gain more entry space. However, this depends upon the size of the dining space and whether you don't mind losing a few feet of it.
Long narrow entrance hallway - what to do?
Long Hallway - Is there any possible solution for this problem?
Dark narrow hallway: wall-wash recessed lights or straight downlights?
