CEFreeman, if I go DIY I will try Rub 'n Buff - I've seen that on blogs. But I think I would finish either brass look with a clear protective coat. I love the Japanese towel bar ones sooo much. But I don't think I can justify spending that much. Chisue, I'm not sure which pulls you referred to above? Lauraeds - I saw those or similar pulls in an kitchen and they look FANTASTIC! Can't wait to see your reveal. They would not be an option for me because clothing catching would be an issue - we are a clumsy family, myself included. Terri_pacnw - yes, I am appreciating the shape and proportions of the IKEA Tyda pulls. They are just so simple and clean-looking. And as I mentioned, I am liking how they *feel* - easy and comfortable to grab. I am usually whirling around the kitchen to get scratch dinners on the table after a long day of chores and homeschooling so details like that can make a difference. Robotropolis, like that Richelieu pull and I will look for it. For some reason I thought I already found that one and discounted it based on price, but I could be wrong. I have found Richelieu products to be frustrating - I've had trouble finding an actual dealer for a specific item. Thanks for the help, folks :)

@recordaras - I am looking at bronzy/gold options for a bathroom remodel and came across this thread. Will you confirm that the finish of the faucet in your pic is Moen Brushed Gold? It looks much richer/warmer than the pics I've spotted online (which is what I hope to find). We are keeping our vintage mirror that has a medicine cabinet on one end and I happened to find the light fixture (see first pic) on clearance. I want to find a faucet finish that complements the mirror and the vintage tile (see second pic). We are going from a tub to a tub/shower (preferably with a handheld shower head), but I haven't found any bronzy/gold options locally. Tonight, I determined my best bet is to have some options shipped and send back whatever doesn't work–not ideal, but this decision should already be made!

You definitely do not need to match your kitchen faucet to your appliances. The majority of people opt for stainless steel appliances, but have faucet finishes of all kinds. Whether a brass or brushed nickel faucet will go in your kitchen is dependent on your choices for cabinet color, counters, floor, light fixtures—which you have not described. It’s nice to have your faucet finish match your pulls/knobs, but not required, and many kitchens do not have them matching.

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate it. I’ve checked many of the websites you have all advised, and all of the gold finish faucets are out of stock. I’m struggling to find a faucet. I did find a Kraus, however, it’s really tall and you can pull it down into the sink. All of the reviews complained of how water flies everywhere due to not being able to pull it down deeper in the sink. I want to truly be able to use it, so that won’t work for us. It’s $350 so I’m not going to buy it just to have a faucet. I’ll keep looking.
