There are three colors. Navy (intense) soft green which would not stand up to the white. But I need a soft blue not navy navy but somewhere in between . Any suggestions???

I am afraid that helping you via the internet is going to be difficult. You will need to see different blues next to the painting to know which ones are too gray, too dark, too light or too brilliant.

SW Naval is less gray than BM Hale Navy and BM Washingtons Blue is less gray than SW Naval. Which one is right??? I always like SW In the Navy, but is that too blue - will it overwhelm the art? Internet doesn't let us accurately see colors so the best we can do is share ideas.

As Patricia suggested you could see if they could color match the navy from the picture.

I think the navy is too dark, so I agree with you, you should be trying to find the other blue which looks blue-gray in the picture. Benjamin Moore has various shades of blue gray on their chips 2119 through 2134. There are some other candidates scattered throughout their other collections. The overall effect is going to be more important than an exact match.

Match the grey trim in your headboard for the best look. Art can always be slightly different. But if your headboard is off it won’t look well thought out.

What color are your walls?

Using MS Paint I selected the colors from the art & then downloaded them to Sherwin Williams Chip It feature online. Their computer selected these colors from their line. It will at least get you close to the colors you might want.

Keep the walls a soft, neutral, pale color, and pull some blues and other colors from the art into your bedding accessories and a rug. Keep it all very soft and quiet - you’ll relax and sleep better.

A client of mine painted Polaris blue which was shown above it was soft and very pretty

Here’s one that seems to work with all the blues in the art, but it’s important to consider how dark you want wall to be and its effect on the room.

Just because I’m not a fan of focal walls, suggesting incorporating blue in bedding and a rug. I think the art will be more appreciated and the room will feel softer and lighter.

Take the art to the paint store and hva them color match the blue which BTW to my eye is not navy.

I stripped wall paper off wall. I have to remove the glue and Paint

This is right accross from my bedroom entrance and you can see from the living room. So. Will it be too much or is it ok to even tone it down with accent rugs and drapery.

Bedroom rug king size bed? Should it be 10 x 14? Go around the side of the bed to step out on and cover the end also? Love the warmth with the blue for something different besides cool cool blues too !

I love the of navy blue. I tryed HALE NAVY and it was black. Then I tryed NAVAL and it was still dark. SOUTHWEST exposure and then I had a swatch of SW SMOKEY BLUE and even though it wasnt true navy blue it looked better. I still feel like it could be ok but painter coming tommorow afternoon and have to make a decision.

I love all the blues you’re considering. My thought is that the headboard seems a bit tall for that particular piece of art above it. Might the artwork fit on an adjacent wall? Then you can enjoy it even while lying in bed.

I love dark colors, especially in light filled bedrooms. This is a corner of mine in a dark charcoal gray with bronze drapes over a triple bay window. Go as dark as you dare. I agree that the picture looks too large for the space above your headboard.

Navy is gorgeous but can suck the light but I do have White laquer bedroom and SouthWest expososre with a decent size windows. I literally have to close shades and dim because the light is blinding in the bedroom

I’m all for carrying through design in a small space, but this looks too much the same as what you have in the rest of the house, even the art is very similar.

I understand I find my resources are limited . I do find most abstract are interesting and for some reason keep drawing towards certain styles. Here is one I love for the sitting room .

I was going to remove the uttermost which came with the house. It is in the AQUA sitting room and put this 75 x 65 It was happier and felt lighter background. But the uttermost was there. (800.00 ) with the model home. so I used it.

When you add color you need to disperse the color throughout the room, not just paint one wall.

SW 7604 SMOKEY BLUE It stands up to the southwestern sun intense and seems darker blue. Its not my true navy but it looks good enough. I need a RUG now with some warm/ Cool and love the idea of adding Yellow accent pilow for a pop

Oh I love that for the bedroom but remember your RULE around the bed.

King size bed side and bottom has to cover right. Doesnt that mean 10 x 14? I am not sure because Bedroom is: Micheal Amini Sky tower with matching side tables .

What will your drapes be?

I used on the walls : SW SMOKEY BLUE to off set the white laquer bedroom & chrome fixtures & lamps shades that are warm. I love these drapes and just love the warmth with the blue accent and crisp white. I would like to play with a couple of looks. If I add these I will also do WARM & COOL RUG but something has to balance with design. I alway love design and pattern so much I can mess myself up overdoing. Love some suggestions

I'[m really digging the relief on the wall and that its not flat but framed with a little thicker material. Friend did this to their room and bought a couple sheets of drywall and made a few layers thick and it really made a difference. Looked more tailored and they did a accent wall like you are and it looks great
