Spout length question for freestanding tub filler wall mount

We have a 31" wide freestanding tub that will be going lengthway along a wall in a wet room. The shower is on the other side of the space, and shower glass will extend across the room in front of the shower area towards the tub. The entry to the wet room will be between the end of the shower glass and the tub, so the farther from the wall the tub is, the less the walk-in space there will be . We have 2 questions that mainly involve a wall mount tub filler. Is there a recommended distance from the wall for an oval freestanding tub? And what is a recommended spout length? I attached the tub specs and an early rendering of our design. thanks

bee, we have the Kohler Purist (not sure if its the same one you are looking at) and it is bolted to the floor, does not wiggle or move at all for that matter. The only thing you can do is move the spout to the left or right. Just make sure it is straight when you install it because once its mounted, its not moving. Not a silly question. When you have water forcefully hitting the inclined side of the tub high enough up, though most of it will splash downwards, some of it goes sideways, and some of it -- counterintuitively -- splashes back upwards from where it strikes the side and you can actually have a small puddle start to form on the floor in this area from water spray bouncing up and escaping this way. It the water doesn't hit the side of the tub, but only the bottom of the tub, it doesn't bounce high enough to do this.

Free standing tub filler - new construction on concrete slab

I'm currently working on a new build with a concrete floor on the 1st level of the house, which is the level that 2 of the bedrooms are on. The master bath is going to have a free standing tub, but I've decided on a Roman style tub filler that will be mounted to the deck of the tub. You might try this style mount if you can't find a free-standing tub filler that can accommodate a concrete floor. On a related note: how did you finish your concrete floors?

I have that tub. I had the faucets mounted on the deck. I use a teak bench by the tub to put things I need for my bath. Just give the plumber the specs sheet. I took heavy paper and laid out where I wanted the tub to be. Mine arrived in time but it is always good to visualize and go over everything ahead of time. I definitely wanted at least 12' on all sides for ease of cleaning. Consider getting a handheld wand on the deck as well.
