Do you have any colors or designs in mind for the wallpaper?

There is a place called Stencilit on Etsy. They have some really cool stencils that you can do. No wallpaper mess. Your kitchen is beautiful.

Wayfair.com has many options... A mural would be nice there.

You can even make your own design, even a photograph made to order.

We are thinking of incorporating the blue from the island in some way into the wallpaper and maybe some gold from the handles but open to suggestions

Wallpaper is a very personal thing. It’s much like art. No two people are generally going to like the same wallpaper. Or even if they like it - they may not want it in their own personal space. Hence, when you ask for “wallpaper suggestions” here (or anywhere) you are likely to get many different ideas & opinions. So generally speaking, I would just say: if you are not in love with a particular wallpaper - don’t do wallpaper. Just paint - and hang some art on the wall.

As far as my ‘designer take’ on your space: I like your idea for the accent wall backing the island, and I also like your idea of blue and gold for a wallpaper there. I think I would keep it very simple on the wallpaper.

Or alternatively, have all the walls white - and just hang art.

You could install a mural of your local city map on the wall.
