I agree, the table doesn't go with the cool tones in the living room, and also lacks any warmth or feeling of comfort that should be associated with a place where you share meals with family and friends. When you talk about wall plaques or matching art sets it gives me a very impersonal feeling, as though the objects in your home are chosen more for looks rather than because they're something you love. For your home to reflect you, items used for decoration should speak to you and give the room warmth and personality. It's not a show room, although it should be beautiful, which your space easily could be with what you've done so far. You might consider a floor lamp behind your couch which reaches over far enough so that you'll have enough light to read, use a laptop, etc. Are you planning on drapery panels in your living room or will you leave the windows bare? In that case, colorful pillows in warm tones will be needed. A room with only cool tones or only warm tones lacks depth and interest. You can also keep that in mind when you're choosing art for the living and dining areas.

Here is the problem - you are looking for a paint color based on 2 inch square swatches compared to huge expanses of the colors already in your home. If you have a sample of the countertop that you can take outside - that it the ideal answer. If not you will need to make do with a gerry rigged method using the counter top in place. Get a large white sheet. Gather samples of the colors that must stay ( a drawer front, a sample of flooring that closely matches if an actual sample isn't available, a sample of the granite. Gather as many colors as you can from the neutral and heavily muted colors at the paint store. The lighting in the paint store will confuse your brain - pick up everything even if it doesn't seem good in the store - you may be suprised by what works when you get them home. If possible, take all the colors outside and cover a table with the white sheet. Lay the samples of the colors that must stay on the sheet and place one color sample at a time next to the colors that have to stay. If it works in natural daylight it will work anywhere. If it is not possible to take a sample outside cut a hole in the sheet and let a small section of the counter show through the hole in an area near a window. If that is not possible get a good lamp with a 5000k lightbulb and place the lamp so it shines on the hole in your sheet. You can limit the amount of any sample of the things that must stay by doing cutouts on the sheet. Typically one or two colors will feel right. This is going to be the hue you want. More than likely when you purchase a sample and paint a large section of wall it will read more vivid than the color you picked from a tiny sample. More space- more color. But you will know that you are in the right ball park and can use tools like EasyRGB to discover similar colors that are slighly less saturated. I worked with Miller Paint when I first discovered Devine. They were amazing. Don't know how they are today, as it has been 20 ish years ago. If I were in their service area I would work with them again in a heartbeat. Hope this helps narrow your choices :-)

Those are quite handsome fixtures! My perspective: excessively bright and white outdoor lighting is interfering with mating of fireflies, circadian rhythms/sleep disruption in humans (yes, currently being studied as to the effect this is having on the incidence of stroke and other disorders) and other environmental disruptions. So I would say go for the lowest color temperature and lowest lumens that will serve necessary purpose, and also have an eye as to whether the lights will be shining into a neighbor's bedroom or even into the house across the street (as one does on my street, not mine thankfully!) Are you saying that each bulb will be 400+ lumens, and 3 bulbs per fixture?

My opinion on Ruggable: my daughter bought one 18 mos ago (8x10/light gray). She has baby, toddler, dog and 2 messy, red wine spilling adults (lol) (oh, and sometimes messy me visiting). She has washed that rug countless times, both by spot cleaning and washing machine. It comes out great. I loved the idea of one myself but needed a 9x12 and at time they did not offer it. Now they do (you just have to check to see if your washer accommodates the size) & I bought a cream/white one. I LOVE it. Me and Messy Marvin here + 2 dogs and visiting grandkids, granddog, and messy adults have given my ruggable a workout. Spot cleaning for me has been a breeze-have not had to throw the entire thing in wash yet but I anticipate no problems based upon daughter's experience. (truly just about everything has been spilled, spewed, painted, chalked, thrown on these rugs and no problems washing clean, no staining).
