What about something like this? I think the lines would work with the table, and the single large button would be a charming nod to the curtain pattern. I like how it seems to have the richer brown and gold tones in the drapery woven into the lighter fabric. audrey basket Good point about measuring to be sure the table will fit, with room to move around and pull out the chairs. Once you get all the drapery ironed and put up permanently, you can decide on a wall color. You will have a lot of dark fabric in that smaller space, so I would be inclined to go lighter on the walls. I would think a softer cream, maybe SW Napery. You could also do a warm grey or a soft blue.Be sure to paint the ceiling the same color, so that the walls fall away a bit. For lighting, I think a drum shade pendant would be great, and again would hint at the circles in the fabric. Deciding on that might wait until you get your chairs (if they are going to be fabric) and your wall color in place, as that might change your decision about the drum shade color/pattern.

We would perhaps look into ivory or a glass top table with a gold base if those are your colors. Perhaps sharing some of our dining room designs will help:

I'd use a finished, top grain leather myself, probably in the green/sage family, everything wipes off it and it's classic for a Chippendale chair. You can do those slip seats yourself, they're not hard though you will want to have an electric staple gun. If you go fabric, Crypton or Sunbrella Performance fabrics are soap and water cleanable.
