Does LVP flooring bring down the value of your home?
Comments (41)I think if your house is millions of dollars and considered luxury, you should definitely match the quality with a high end wood product. However, I don’t think replacing outdated floors. With trendy lvp could devalue a home? If you stage and do you colors right with what people are looking for in you area should only increase interest. My home is a 5 bed 2.5 bath family house in a middle class neighborhood. I plan on doing lvp through the whole house. I like the fact that it looks like wood and is waterproof. Of course if you can afford wood do it, but the real estate market In my area is crazy homes sell in days. Any type of updating you do adds value in the long run....See MoreAdvice Needed on Kitchen Tile Back-Splash and LVT/LVP Flooring Color
Comments (5)Hi Chispa, House is a townhouse built in 1996, trying to modernize the look. As far as decorating style, I like modern/contemporary, nothing too funky. Something that would be cohesive with the rest of the kitchen, and bring the kitchen to life a little. It's very white right now....See MoreSuggestions on LVP brands/colors to put throughout our new log home?
Comments (6)Congratulations on your new log home! I have to agree with BeverlyFLADeziner. You have a lot of wood already. And faux wood beside real wood is NOT a good look. Instead, as she suggests, go for a stone/slate look on your floor. It will ground the space. I assume that you will use area rugs to soften the space (and mute the sound transmission in the space. Hard surfaces everywhere.). I would look at real stone or slate, or even the LVP that looks like it. Enjoy your new home!...See MoreHardwood / LVP Flooring color for Espresso kitchen cabinets
Comments (3)@likestonehomes solid hardwood @herbflavor the square floor tiles will be in the bathroom. The rectangular smaller tile is the bathroom countertop. They include the grey LVP (grey wood plank) which will be in the kitchen only. The rest is carpet. If we decide to with the builder grey LVP (grey plank in pic) in the rest of the lower level (dining, office, family room), it will cost $11,000. We decided to go with base carpet in the lower level and then replace with solid hardwood or LVP (but a lighter color) throughout the lower level, including kitchen. Our own flooring costs estimated at $7500 for solid hardwood, $6000 for LVP (this includes cost of labor). Will try to find flooring pics of the dark espresso cabinets with a similar grey to see how they look together. thanks. Cooks....See Moreyayilandia
