Utility sink suggestions?
Comments (2)You can buy inexpensive sink cabinets at your local Home Depot or Lowes. Put on a pre-made top and drop in a cheap kitchen sink. You could even put space between two cabinets, or a cleat up against a corner wall leaving the underneath open, and make a large folding area beside the sink area. Then (if you have the area) you wouldn't have to cut the pre-made top. You still will have to do a cutout for the actual sink. Then install an inexpensive pull out faucet....See MorePrep Sink suggestions, please?
Comments (5)Oh, oh, oh!! I think I've found my perfect corner-of-island prep sink!! Look!! Franke GNX11016 It is a perfectly symmetrical rounded-corner square, just under 16inch per side and just under 8 inch depth. Fits in a 20 inch cabinet, and, get this, the drain is offset to one corner! Talk about perfect symmetry, soothes my OCD soul (I'll put the drain right under the faucet, so the front and sides are available for "putting stuff". Now I have to decide if I want the fancy grid or cutting board, lol. I can't see needing those, but maybe . . . . I'm so excited to have found a perfectly symmetrical sink for this application! Thanks for the links above and the ideas. This forum is very helpful! http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GNX11016.html...See More21' sink suggestion
Comments (2)I also have a 24" sink cabinet, and wanted to go with the largest sink I could fit into it. I chose a D-shaped stainless steel sink by Blanco (Norstar series, model 513617). It's an undermounted sink, depth 8" and the dimensions are 22 7/8" side to side by 20 7//16" back to front. I'm very happy with it. One webside I found to be really helpful is www.ajmadison.com, which lists dimensions and what size base cabinet a sink will fit into. This website also lets you really narrow down your search to the specific features you want. Oh, and in my case the faucet is off to the right, and that works well also. Good luck....See MoreNew Sink---Suggested Brands +/-'s if any
Comments (6)The sink we are getting rid of and the new one we just purchased is a double bowl with a low divide. I feel like you get the best of both worlds. It is a double but almost feels like a single because the divide is low. We've always had a regular double sink (with the high divide). I'm happy the house we bought four years ago had this sink with the low divide. We really like it. Ticor makes one as does Elkay. We bought the Elkay one at Costco.com and it doesn't feel very nice so I just ordered the Ticor one based on so many positive reviews here on GW....See MoreHALLETT & Co.
