Francis, your plant looks great, though some more light might make it more compact. It is not hanging (yet) because your glossy stemmed plant is a Hatiora salicornioides, the dancing bones cactus, not a hairy Rhipsalis. It will start to hang down eventually, but that will take a while.

It a pretty good guess that one of the parents was a bell pepper. There are a multitude of Capsicum annuum peppers so you will never know the other parent. Assuming that this is indeed a cross. you have a mongrel. If you like it, you can carefully select the best specimen for seeds and repeat this process for several years until it stabilizes and then name as a new variety. that is how many of the "heirloom" varieties originated.

Not all violas are perennial. And I wouldn't consider any of the Sorbet series to be so. In fact, they are sold as "hardy" annual seeds or plants ("hardy" only in reference to their ability to grow well and flower in cool or even cold weather).

Too late to cut back now, if a new wood bloomer like H. paniculata or arborescens. You will be removing all the flowering potential for this season.
