Mine are just folded in a sock drawer, but it gets very messy, and I’d really like a better system. I hope to hear from honeycomb people.

Wasn’t it kswl who showed a very cool way to store them with shoeboxes? Ugh, my memory is awful lately.

My socks are jammed into a drawer unsorted, unmatched, uncolorcoded, unfolded, unworn, and unloved.

I pair the socks and fold down at the ankle to keep them together (my mom rolled them, which I find stretches the socks). Then I just throw them in a drawer in a big undefined mess.

I ruthlessly discard singlets, which I need to do twice, whenever i find the second singlet. As a result, I have about 4 actual pairs of socks. Storage is not an issue.

Paired...the tops are rolled together...then in a basket. I have little cubbies on a wall with NEW-in-the-package socks.

I do pair them and mostly roll them and then toss into the draw. Regarding the singlets, I have a holding drawer where they wait for their match to show up. If a sock is ripped or it's been a LONG time waiting for its match, I use it to clean with and then toss.

I have a holding area for singlets, too. Eventually I throw them out (they have a generous waiting period of at least a year). A week later, and this has happened more than once, the mate gets handed to me by one of the males in the house with a ”this was in my drawer, is it yours?”

I fold the tops and cuff them, too.

Every year or two or three, I stand the socks up in their shoeboxes so I can see them, but that doesn’t last long. Take a couple out, and the rest fall over.

Mine are all correctly paired, but tossed at random and stuffed in the drawer. Don't care, works for me.

As for singles, I keep them for a bit because the missing sock often shows up. Or, since I have a ton of black Bombas, two singles often make a pair.

I fold mine in half twice and stand them up in a container ( I’ve used a shoe box also) . My Bombas (no shows) and Smart wools I keep separately as well as well as my compression socks.

Opaque tights & boot type winter socks I keep in a basket in the closet.

Thought i was the only one with a box for single socks, I roll my socks , put the black ones in one drawer and the no-show, and anklets in another. I toss the lonely single socks in a box in one drawer and periodically match them up. I need to clean my sock drawers, for sure.

Folded and tucked up and tossed in the drawer. I really don’t wear socks much, so I don’t have many that aren’t for use with my workout/walking sneakers. I’ll bet I have a dozen or fewer pair. Maverick singles sit in the front of the drawer until their match reappears.

at the beginning of the pandemic, I got bored and finally got around to organizing my sock, underwear and bra drawers. Using various sized storage bins from IKEA which fit perfectly in my drawers, I went through all the drawers, throwing out anything old, without elasticity, etc. I have three bins in my sock drawer - one for gym socks, paired and rolled into a ball, one for thin trouser socks, folded over at the top, and the third for thick, warm socks. I keep strays if they are in good condition in the off chance its mate turns up. Occasionally, since I still have kids at home, a sock will end up in their laundry if it got left behind when I emptied mine out of the washer or dryer.

In the shallow drawers of our nightstands, rolled. When it comes to organizing, I search until I find the best fit for anything (LOL)!

My socks have their own drawer, where they are rolled up, and assembled in a line by color and warmth levels (thin to thick)...

In the summer the thinnest socks get moved toward the front, and in the winter the wool and thick cotton socks take the first row/s.

This is what happens when you live a quiet life and you like things orderly. I sort all of my clothes accordingly - by color and by season.

I try to pair them up and then stuff them unceremoniously in a drawer. I wish I had cute organized sock drawers like Lynn and Kswl. I find that if I pair them up when I'm putting them away, it's so much easier to just grab a pair of socks and go.

Confession: I generally dislike folding laundry, but I love matching up socks into pairs.

I have a basket in our cubby which serves as our dresser. I have about 15 pair of identical, black, mid calf socks and about the same amount of identical, low rise, white sport socks. Matching is easy. I put two together and fold the top down. I live for sandle weather - socks bug me.

Mine are paired, folded in half and lined up in a drawer vertically by weight with the heaviest hand knits to the left and graduating down to thin anklets on the far right.

I have an armoire in my bedroom with shelves that serves as a second dresser. On the top shelf are three large baskets— one for bras, one for underwear and one for socks. If it sounds cureated, you’ve been deceived. It’s a hot mess. Socks are in balls but that’s it. Orphan socks are tucked between the baskets until the mate shows up.

I have two sock drawers, one for fuzzys and the other crew, hosiery socks, and slack socks. Divided of course. I do that folding inside out thing then squeeze so the elastic stays tight. It's a Virgo thing. :)

I use mesh bags to wash my socks - footies in the summer, black knee highs in the winter. It keeps them together so i don't lose one. So they are stored in those bags in a drawer - I have an empty one in my laundry room where I put the dirty ones before i wash them. It has worked out quite well...
